I know this is an older video now but this is one of the best videos describing and showing these two casts on CZcams.

As always, it's a pleasure learning from Jeff. Met him at the Spey Clave last fall on the Muskegon River and gave me some one on one pointers. Looking forward to the next lesson, Jeff!

Two thumbs up on this video. Your instructions are excellent. I definitely learned a couple things from your video. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to practicing all this. It was also interesting to know that as a right handle the double Spey is better for river right. No wonder I was having problems yesterday.

Nice! I will typically throw streamers on the micro Spey all winter when the dry action is non existent here. My casts were pretty ugly on the first trip out a couple weeks ago, thanks for the great review… next trip out I had my double Spey back.

This is the best tutorial. You make yourself so clear. I just tried Spey casting the first time today and I was rushing it. Excited to learn

Does the overhang mean the reel end of the head is just inside the top rod eyelet so many inches or is it out of the tip with so many inches of running line hanging off the end of your rod?

How come i have never needed any of them during my 50 years of flyfishing here in Norway if they are so essential, just wondering??????
