I dont often comment but the neck gaiter hack to turn it into a beanie is AMAZING !!
I’ve been waiting to hear from you!
My work here is done. 🫳
How about a gift certificate to River City Bicycles in scenic Portland Oregon? A place I visit every time I'm in Bridge City. Even saw Ron there once.
Thats a rad idea!
REI has some half-zip long sleeve merino wool base layers that are awesome... I have 3, one in a color that looks super similar to your quarter-zip, but it looks like some seams are in different places.
Another really good merino wool base layer, for both of and off the bike: gloves. I just got some fingerless ones from Minus 33 and they are really nice, the medium fits my long hands perfectly, good cuff over the wrist and they make a great layer under wind gloves. Haven't tried them yet under rain gloves, but I'd imagine they'd be good even if they got a bit wet. They even offer a bright orange color for people who might want something eye catching.
Those Ratchet Rocket kits "look" amazing, but I reckon I'd lose the most important bits almost immediately.
That's what happened to my Topeak Mini 9 -- the 8mm adapter that sits on the 6mm allen has gone walkies.
I'd advise Santa to stick to regular folding multitools, sans chain breaker, and with no removable parts.
They're light, fit neatly in a saddle bag, and are also fairly cheap to replace if you happen to lose one.
Cheers
Wow, the effort you put in this video is remarkable! Thank you!
I appreciate this!
Fantastic list, thanks DK. Saw quite a few things in there I had not seen before, gonna help me with my own stocking stuffers. Take care!
Your the best Paul! My pleasure to help out.
If it's biking specific, i'm always stoked!
Lovely work once again Dustin. I want everything in this list…except plugs, because it’s not time man.
LMAO!!! You Rule Chad.
This could possibly be the best “cycling stuff to buy” video this side of the Milky Way! Well done!
Merino, merino, merino. Even in a hot place like where I live in the Central Valley. Keeps you warm in the cold, keeps you cool in the hot. You can never go wrong with merino. And you can sleep in it... so comfy!
great video dustin! whats the handlebars on your gravel bike?
Now those are some serious stocking stuffers. Thanks and take care, Al
Thanks, you too!
Perfect video, since i've just received my Ghost Asket Advanced and can't wait to get started! Cheers, Dustin!
Awesome! Thank you!
thank you for providing links to retailers that are not amazon. much appreciated!
I do what I can. I use them as a very last resort. Appreciate you noticing.
I munna buy every single thing you reviewed. Nice job!
The oneup pump is awesome too. You can put the tool inside of it. It also works as a CO2 inflator, and if you get the larger size you can store a CO2 cannister in it.
I must have this magical TOOL!
Thanks for the lead.
Very smart list 👌🏻
The bar wrap on the Willier is.....like.....absolutely perfect. I've never seen bars wrapped so professionally. Nice.
lol I also noticed that. Like the color too.
Amazing how you even manage to make a gift buying guide highly entertaining :)))
Glad to see you are a fellow footbagger! Kick them Bags!
YESHHHHH!
Sending this to everyone i know. Thanks Dustin
I’m here for you! 🫡
Topeak ratchet is THE BEST tool ever invented for bikes. MUST HAVE.
Mike knows!
I just got myself a gore wind stopper base layer in the Black Friday sales - OMG it’s incredible. Makes my summer jerseys last till November!
Those topeak gears series are the best!!
Hey Dustin! Thank you for the tip on the knockoff saddle. I just got it and gave it a 20 mile test ride. Worked awesome!! Thank you sir!!
Great to hear!
Thanks!
Much Appreciated Player!
i like to mount my phone on the stem when i am done with my trail ride and i ride home on the pavement, with that in mind i actually find the wolftooth encase system much in line with my use case
That Topeak ratchet kit is the best/most useful piece of kit I own.
Those who KNOW
Beanie move has been my winter go to for a couple years.
I just found out about that.
Kinda blew my mind.
great tip, great vid
🤘🏻
What is the orange jacket your are wearing? Great content 🎉
What brand helmet are you wearing at the beginning? Are the eyeshields clip ons? I have a Bell helmet with magnetic eye shields. Discontinued. Looking for a replacement
Backcountry not available in the UK :(
+1 for dynaplugs I had to use 9 plugs in one hole to make it home from the ride from hell once and they held just fine for the 3200 miles I used the tire for.
Glad you made it out.
3200 on a patched up tire is Respect!
Brand of those bicycle racks?
The level of production is crazy!
Flattery will get you everywhere ;)
Man whenever you show the white Wilier Bike I feel like buying a new bike. I mean it just looks so nice. 5:10
What helmet are you wearing in the beginning of the video. It looks like it fits perfectly over eye glasses
Not a merino baselayer and it's a little pricey ($99) but I swear by the Patagonia Capilene Thermal Crew. As someone who tends to run hot, I'll just put that under a light windbreaker (think houdini weight) for anything over around 30f. Plus for anyone who didn't know, tucking/untucking your shirt can make a massive difference in temperature. If you're a little warm but not quite hot enough to shed a layer, give it a try!
The shirt tuck is like adding another layer!
I personally don’t like Capilene I find it stinks very quickly.
Merino will go days weeks and months with out a scent.
Pros and cons to both. Find what works and run it.
+1 on the Capilene becoming stinky very quickly, I am a huge Patagonia afficionado but had to return all my Capilene gear after 2 weeks of use, the stench was unbearable. Merino for the win, haven't tried hemp yet, looking at getting a pair of socks for this winter. @@EverythingsBeenDone
Great ideas. Making wife watch soon!
Hey what brand bar tape on your Willier?
this stuff: 📼 Comfy Bar Tape: bit.ly/43jVmRm
@@EverythingsBeenDone That's some champagne lookinng bar tape! My Santa has more of a beer budget 😄
what is that white hoodie you wearing in the start of the video, it looks really nice
They only have black left. Its here: 🪐Air Hoodie: bit.ly/3QXbEv4
Do you have transition lenses in your Ombraz? or just a clear lens version you wear inside?
they are "photochromic" it is is the way
You make entertaining content.
PLAYER!
Do you have any recommendations for wind noise products? I have bad Tinnitus and wind can really make it worse. I tried a cap with ear covers but the turbulence created a low buffeting noise, even worse!
I have seen some fuzzy bits that people put on their helmets. I dont know what they are called. But seems like what you're looking for.
damn your editing skills have seriously leveled up eh?
It only took me 7 years
What model is the green wiler bike
Its a DKLEIN x Willier: 🚲Gravel Bike: Wilier Triestina Jena x lЖLEIN bit.ly/Wilier_Jena
You mean to tell me that while I was out getting some laps on the hardtail you went and published a new video?? I really need to time my rides better.
Your timing is PERFECT!
@DustinKlein_ where is the orange jacket from? Great videos btw!
4:53 .... been there, done that.
Gift: bar tape
Hey Dustin, tell me about the helmet with the visor, I wear glasses too, please let us know, thanks
its this helmet(the visor comes with it!) bit.ly/3t7btW9
Thanks for your reply, appreciate it
02:37 haha!
❤
Another great review 🙂 Though outside of the US (as here in Germany) the links wont work. I get forwarded to a german site, which claims to be related to competitive cyclist, but they do not have a single item of your guides 😒
oh man thats a bummer. Sorry about the inconvenience
Curley bar bike 😂😂
🍜🤭
On the subject of waterproof socks, I think I just discovered what they're for. Or, what they're good for / what I might use them for.
Waterproof socks and sandals.
Yeah yeah, socks and sandals. And for those who don't use flat pedals, that's useless. But for me, *usually* when it's really raining (like now) it's wet but not that cold. And the main thing is I just don't want to have to dry out my shoes every day. In the summer I ride in sandals a lot. I bet that little bit of insulation would be enough to keep comfortable with wet feet. Then it's just socks you have to dry, maybe you have a couple pair, no big deal.
I just had the idea because I saw someone wearing socks and sandals today on my rainy commute.
Now that is the use case!!
Wool boxers
Base Layer 'v' Bass player
Flying V bass layer?
Now your talking Yeah!
Is it acceptable to give ketchup to go with your cyclist's curly fry bars?
If this one have bike, which dont have tubles rims and tires, what do he gona do with this Dynaplug Pill? An i dont need to say most of bikese dont.
Wut
i will never understand the hype about merino wool as base layer. Yes, it keeps you warm, but it still is and feels like wet wool on your skin. I always prefer synthetic materials that dry out way quicker and also feel way more comfortable even when wet.
To each their own. I am envious of your scenario that means you will save much $ compared to the wool heads.
Subscribing to your channel is unhealthy for my wallet.
It´s called DROPBARS ....F F S
Noodle bars?
@@EverythingsBeenDone you can call your noodle what ever you want budy 🤣...but dropbars stay Dropbars😜
I searched “cycling on gear” and this has to be the polar opposite of what I meant 😂
