I like putting the Elf Halo Glow on the high points of my face and then go over with my skin tint/light coverage foundation on top. The glow that peeks out from underneath is unmatched and really looks like you have a filter on irl. Just make sure your t-zone is matte otherwise it can get so dewy to the point you may look sweaty or oily lol. Plus using it as a natural highlighter on top of my base is also a go-to!

The Elf Halo Glow Filter is not a foundation per se. It's trying to dupe Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter which is a luminizer, not a foundation & has next to no tint. Elf has a noticeable tint in comparison & a thicker texture, unless it's an exact skin tone match your best bet is to use it under your blush or as highlighter like you mentioned. You could also try it on your undereyes as the orange could cancel out dark circles & make for a glowy finish under a concealer.
But the full name of the product is CT hollywood flawless filter "foundation" and they even say you can wear it on its own, but a lot of people wear it beneath/mix it into their foundation or even just as highlighter like yogitha mentioned!

i once bought maybelline fit me foundation (shade : 230 natural buff) from a local shop and they gave me that shade just by looking at my face color without any swatches, and after that when i returned home opened the seal and applied it, it made my skin looks so grayish i hate that shop 😭

maybelline tint 10 is so much more neutral and deeper than 9 , so its gonna be a waste for someone of ur skintone , its good for someone one with pure neutral undertone and two shades deeper than her I use elf as highlighter during summer and full face primer during winter when i have dry skin, it gives that glow and nourishment

@@s_k248 Hey, if you have this and 330 looks dark brown, I am guessing you have fair or medium skin tone. In that case any of my foundation shades will look dark brown on your skin tone. If I try a darker foundation, it’s gonna look dark brown on me but for someone who have that skin tone, if they swatch it on their skin, it will just look like a perfect match foundation. For example, if I try the last shade from Fit Me - 340 Cappuccino, it will look dark brown on my skin versus someone with deeper skin, it will look more natural on their deeper skin. That doesn’t mean 340 is dark brown. 340 is dark for my 330 skin.

@@lekshmianitha4567 Kay Beauty Hydrating Foundation. It has got a good coverage. Not “oily” sort of dewy. More natural looking dewy. It’s one of my favourite long wear foundations.
I use Halo Glow with under painting technique in winters & as a highlighter in summers.. but some days I wear it as it is with a concealer, I'm pathologically obsessed with the almost wet sheen that this gives 😅 tho on my mother with her very very dry skin this gives a natural radiance rather than glam for some reason! ps- amazing quality as always ❤ sending to all my brown gurl contacts asap ps2- would absolutely love a swatch video of all your base products 🫶🏽
Idk where my comment went so commenting again. Bestie you need to get a blue colour corrector to neutralise orange foundations. I mix mine with brown lipsticks too as they appear orange on me. I use the blue LA girl mixing pigment and its been a game changer for my olive skin. Also I prefer mixing my halo glow with some bb cream, using it underneath my bb cream or just using it on the high points.
