We would have won the league if it wasn’t for our home record with too many draws. I think I missed one game away from home and I used to wag school so I could travel away for midweek matches. The away support was unbelievable chanting Atkinson barmy army for 45 minutes at West Brom

I was there at that fateful day against forest, absolute scorcher of a day and to lose 2-0 was a killer, but the season after was one of the best I’ve enjoyed for many a year, I traveled far and wide that year and watch some fantastic football...bring back those days ,players and manager WAWAW

Can remember it like yesterday Luton hadn’t won away from home all season I think and we only had to match them. But going down was a god send best years of my life.I missed one game all season home and away. If it wasn’t for our home form too many draws compared to our good away results. The best times for being an owl supporter

We lost 3 nil pal but yeah remember those times boiling hot day at Hillsborough.
But that day Luton had to do what they didn't do all season win a away game. Not only that hope we lose by 3 clear goals and it happened.
But yeah I missed two games all this season I was wagging school the lot. Great times!!!!

Always said it and always will - If big Ron had have stayed instead of going to Villa (A move I think he looks back on with not fond memories) together with one or 2 additions (Warhurst, Waddle ect) we would have won the title the following season not Leeds - What great times

When Hirst scored four. Can anyone remember, who the Hull keeper was?

Lord Loxley Yes, I was just wondering, if anyone else remembered him. He was at S.W.F.C. a long time, yet this was probably the first time, in a first team game, he’d played at Hillsborough.

What team doesn't have the will to win? Our problem all to often is not having the quality to achieve it. Gary Monk are you watching? Might learn something about being a good manager.
