I was praying to God about grace and it came to my thoughts "What about Ananias and Sapphira? Where was the grace there? Weren't they believers? God will you answer this for me?" A day or two later, I stumbled onto this video. Joseph Prince is preaching the Good News!

Nice. Here's a great way to look at this story. Acts 4:32 tells us " All the believers were ONE in heart and mind". But we learn just a few verse later the Ananias apparently was not one of those believers because unlike the believers his heart was.... Acts 5:3 "Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart...."
If all the believers were of one heart, then that would mean none of the believers hearts were filled with Satan. God bless :)

I’ve been struggling with Acts 5 verses 1-11 for a while now. All I could hear in my head was " Wait if were under Grace what about Ananias and Sapphira" Not to mention if they truly were believers how could God judge them twice for the same sin... And it just got worse from there.

If Ananias and Sapphira were not christians / believers,why would Peter attest to the fact that satan had filled their hearts which led to lying the Spirit of God? i think they were held accountable because they should have known better, having been believers.

Anananias &safira r believers but satan is all d time behind believers and because of our weakness we fall at times &God in prov. 3:12 & Revel. 3:19 clearly state that God is a loving father will always decipline his child n we should take it as an example. Amen! God protects His people because He knows those who are His. I've not understood this truth about Ananias & Sapphira and have wrongly thought that Christians can also drop dead if their lives are not right before God. Thank you Ps Prince for that explanation. I was reading this and it scared me that this happened after Jesus sacrifice. And I was looking at my self and all the things I did. I was thinking God knew their hearts and Peter said his heart was filled with satan to lie. They must have been evil for them to die like that without trying to save them or have them repent, but I'm still a baby Christian. I was scared because I was thinking I was guilty of lying to God when I would feel somthing say don't play that or watch that video but I think this is not that bad I can still watch it. I found that when ever I was drifting back to the world I would be fearful of hell but when I read the Bible or pray to God or praise him I would this peace in my heart.

God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners. Sin is the nature of our flesh that we are born with due to the sin of Adam in the garden. For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless. We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23), and the the law demands death for those who sin (Romans 6:23). God is righteous, so He must punish our sin, which is what He did through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus is Holy and sinless, yet He received our sin when He died on the cross, so that we can be righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished” (John 19:30), which means He paid the full price for all of your sins (past, present, and future) to be forgiven. He was buried and rose again from the dead. God will forgive anybody who puts their full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds, but only by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). His precious blood that He shed is the only reason why we can be forgiven of our sins (Hebrews 9:22). If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!

Yes there's no judgment for the believers as in John 5:24. But in Acts 4 it says believers felt they need and sold their property, and Acts 5 says there was a certain man. So it means that Ananias and sapphira were also believers. Please do preach correctly as in the word, my spiritual life is going down day by day for what I had listened to your teachings for the past 5 years.
