    Thank you - this has helped me a lot grasp what 'state' the J-6 is in when certain things are flashing!

    You aren't confined to using just one bank of chords, you can pick from whatever set you like and combine them together. BUT I really wish that the display would show which chord is playing.

    Thank you very much for this video, it's so good to see how the Roland J6 works instead of reading the manual.

    Hi! Thanks for the video. But it is possibile to modify the step sequencer while it is playing? I m trying, i can select the step, see the entered note, and if i click more time a new note could be entered but after some tries...what i m doing wrong? Thanks

    Hi, would you be able to play jump or dirty Diana on this? Does it store the sequences?

    • @SaturdayMusicMachines
      @SaturdayMusicMachines  Před 11 měsíci

      It does store sequences, but I would get something more advanced to play those songs.

      @@SaturdayMusicMachines I was asking if there's capability to add beats on this machine but it doesn't look like that. I play live music (not recording), does this plug into a PA or amp?

    • @kd4pba
      @kd4pba Před 5 měsíci

      Nope, that is what the T8 is for. But yes you can plug into a PA. @@Pilts82

    Cool. I have noticed this machine tends to be used together with the T-8 a lot. What is the main reason for that? I am totally new to music and wanted to make my own tunes for fun. So I was considering parting with a few pennies. However I am not too sure what setup to opt for. These certainly look and sound awesome. Thanks for the video and and any help in advance.

    • @SaturdayMusicMachines
      @SaturdayMusicMachines  Před rokem +1

      The T-8 and J-6 are part of the Roland Aira Compact series that can be linked together (there is also the E-4 & S-1 too) so you can get a beat going while playing chords for example.

    Do you know how you start from the 9th chord sequencer without having to start from 1? Can't seem to find. Cheers

      I'm not sure what you mean?

    • @malrowmusic
      @malrowmusic Před 4 měsíci

      With the sequencer right. It always starts from the beginning. Is there a possibility to start from the 9th step straight away. Without having to listen to the first 8 steps.

    • @SaturdayMusicMachines
      @SaturdayMusicMachines  Před 4 měsíci

      I'm not sure to be honest, why would you want to do that?
