  • 2012年9月16日に長野県内の某所駐車場にて練習してきました!直線スラロームの感覚は4mでしたので非常にキツかったです。GL1800は見た目と違い、非常にスポーティーな走りをします!

    About ten years ago there was a pretty famous little old lady /82 years of age/ on the West Coast who always loved bikes and she had the exact same type of motorbike as this /6 cyl.water cooled boxer Honda GoldWing/. She regularly practiced the slalom and every time she also dropped her bike DELIBERATELY...to keep in shape to lift it and to be prepared in case of accident (She did not have one).

    So if I’m correct, he upshifts to 2nd gear at the start and then does the course using only the brake and the throttle. He does not appear to be touching the clutch lever at all, but keeping the revs and speed up so as not to stall. Anyone else notice this?

    • @garinramadhan6572
      @garinramadhan6572 Před 2 lety +3

      I've thought the same, 1st gear seems a little to short and it's hard to maintain a smooth throttle, I guessed he just hold the throttle low enough so the engine dont stall, and using brakes to adjust his speed

      Can't be afraid to scrape chrome. The engine guards are made to be scraped up and get damaged. This guy scraped his engine guards several times. He literally uses the scraping feel/sound to determine his lean limit. Not expensive to replace if you want to convert the bike into non-ridden garage queen later for some reason.

    All Goldwings were produced in the US between 1981 and 2010, so there was no such thing as a JDM Goldwing. This is a US produced 1800 that has been imported to Japan. Most Goldwings in Japan have full US market trim including standard US market MPH/KPH gauges with odometers showing Miles. The wiper is a common aftermarket add on necessitated by the combination of rainy climate and much slower speed limits imposed on Japanese roads (most max out at 30 MPH).

    高校生のときにかったばかりの原チャリを、倒しすぎて大通りの交差点で派手にすっ飛んだ事があります。乗りなれてる人はどれだけ傾けられるか把握してるのでしょうね、すごいです。
    大きいバイクのってみたいなぁ、気持ちいいんだろうなあ。

    GLは ボクサーエンジンってところが 良くも悪くも。。。
    車体倒しすぎるとエンジン擦ってしまう可能性があるので怖いですねぇ
    エンジンガードつけると 今度は車体傾かないし。。。
