MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS is a heartwarming coming of age story that follows fifteen-year-old Manhattanite Jackie Howard after losing her family in a tragic accident. Jackie leaves behind her privileged and proper life in New York and moves to rural Colorado to be with her guardian - her mother's best friend, Katherine, who is raising ten kids with her husband, George. While settling into her new, chaotic countryside home, Jackie is determined to stay focused on her dream of getting into Princeton...all while wrapping her head around her feelings for two very different Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole. As Jackie tries to navigate her new life, the feelings and tensions she tries to deny threaten to throw everything off course. Will she be able to stay true to herself and still find romance?

I was hooked after just watching the pilot episode! I’m team Cole, because I think that Alex would be a much better fit with Kiley. It was quite obvious, early on, that Kiley has strong feelings for him, but did what a best friend does when the other person (whom you have feelings for) becomes in a relationship - They show their support, even becoming friends with said person. There was also this evident chemistry between Jackie and Cole, kind of like two magnets that, despite obstacles, will eventually find each other - Like close to at the end of episode 10, where they FINALLY kiss.
But how did Cole and Jackie part from that kiss? Did she ran away because she realised that she made a mistake? Did she say she is tired and goed to bed and we talk tomorrow?
I am curious in how that would work in a way that Cole can still go to sleep

Everyone says that, but Alex just doesn’t see Kiley that way. She is his best friend, and he needs her to be exactly that. My 18 year old would've been Team Cole, but now that I'm way older I just can't understand the appeal other that his looks, the character's trait is "football player", he's manipulator, such a cliché, that just looking at him had me eye rolling the whole time. The actor did a great job but I'm just tired of these problematic characters that victimize all the time and "change" to get the girl.
I can relate to this so much. All of my friends are team Cole and I just don’t understand the Cole effect at all. I feel like he treats all girls terribly and if he truly cared about Jackie and Alex he would have stayed out of it because he clearly knew that Jackie knew he liked her, so if she wanted to date him she would have. But she chose Alex instead and he should have just accepted it instead of betraying his brother like that

I even rewatched the whole series with my sister because I thought "hey, maybe I'm not seeing something here cause, I gotta be honest, I find the actor that plays Alex really handsome xD", but she couldn't stop telling me she was surprised people couldn't see the level of toxicity of the guy, being a terrible brother, treating Erin so poorly, being just a douchebag, and all these so called moments he had with Jackie, were all created by him, cause he was creeping at every corner hahaha
I'm married to an Alex but have to be honest, when I sit down to watch a drama with beautiful people and beautiful landscape where everything is artificial and people never sweat or fart, I want to see a Cole..... 😂
