    Wonderful video and great job!!!
just started this procedure myself last night. Didn't know I could partially unmount the radiator, great tip!
My heart also stopped when you dropped that nut xD cheers!

      Haha thank you.
Another tip I learned afterwards is that removing the cable clutch gives a better access. Manouvring the valve cover in and out is a pain.
Also, I've experienced that when you have to adjust the clearance and you remove the camshafts and install them back in, the clearance can change. Mine didn't go as planned on the inlet and after I corrected it, the exhaust clearance changed although I didn't adjust it. I'm curious what will be your experience. It's a pain especially since these engines require checking the backlash every 20,000 km and it often needs adjusting.

@@femalegarage That's correct, I did pulled both throttle and clutch cables to have even more room to handle, thinking a bit forward when it's time to put it back. I believe f800GS have a bit more room and the motor is less tilted. Anyways i wasnät satisfied with my feeler gauge and ordered a bit more detailed in the range .18 to .35 for obvious reasons. I hope all is within spec, fingers crossed! cause i just want to get on and ride already!

Didn't have a chance to do this on GS, but I might soon.
Yeah I had like 3 feeler gauges for this job, haha. Fingers crossed. It's still cold as hell in Poland, only today it's warm, can't wait to take my bike for a ride today.

Very good work and very professional. I have not checked valve clearances for my f800st in 50000 km. In this video they had to be adjusted, it would be interesting to know what was the interval

Hi, my name is Luis. I really liked his video a lot. I would like to know what would be the calculations to arrive at the right size of the inserts. thank you for your attention.

New shim size = old shim size + (measured valve clearance - specified valve clearance)

Great video ,seeing you it seems easy ,just one question ,how many kms ,has the engine to have to change the semi spheres ??
I am intending to do the 20.000 km revision ,but there is no noise of disajustment clearance of the valves ,perhaps the operation that you did in the video is with much more kilometrage thanks for your answer and nice and interesting video

I had around 30 000 km when I did this adjustment, so not that much and yet half of the valves needed adjusting. So I recommend to really check it every 20 000 km as they state in the manual.
