بنای بازار نو مشیر همزمان با سرای مشیر ساخته شده و متعلق به دوره قاجار می باشد و در محله درب شاهزاده ( یکی از محله های قدیمی شیراز ) و در ضلع شرقی سرای مشیر قرار دارد که طراحی و معماری آن بسیار شبیه به بازار وکیل است.زمانی که وارد بازار نو مشیر می شوید با جلوه ای از معماری اصیل ایرانی و شکوه بناهای ساخته دست معماران ماهر و هنرمند ایران زمین روبرو خواهید شد ، که منظره ای بس چشم نواز است ، و دیدن انواع صنایع دستی ها با طراحی زیبا و خیره کننده بیننده را به ذوقِ تماشا وا می دارد . در بالای بعضی از حجره ها منبت کاری بر روی آجر بشچم می خورد که حاصل ذوق و سلیقه معماران شیرازی ست . در کف سازی از سنگ فرش برای حجره ها و ایوان ها استفاده شده است که باعث سهولت در رفت و آمد و تمیزی هرچه بیشتر فضای بازار شده است .بازار نو مشیر به همراه سرای مشیر هر دو به عنوان مرکز فروش صنایع دستی شهر شیراز هستند و خود جزء مکان های تاریخی نیز محسوب می شوند و هر ساله توریست های زیادی برای بازدید از این بازار ها و سرا های تاریخی به ایران سفر می کنند که خود باعث جذب ازر می شود و به رونق این بازار و صنایع دستی کشور کمک شایان توجهی می کند . متصل بودن بازار نو شمیر به سرای مشیر و بازار وکیل باعث ایجاد چرخه در روند بازار گردی و در نتیجه رونق بیشتر بازار های اطراف می شود .
