I actually loved his fight. Bloodhound fang works very well. Took probably 20 attempts or so? Nothing felt unfair

One of the best fights in the game. Really fun when you learn his move set, and is one of the good bosses in this dlc unlike quite a few others (commander gaius)
So this quest reward is either double summon swordfighter or cool ass katana.

the katana sucks.
its only scaling is a low B in dexterity, doesnt even get a E or D in strenght or inteligence despite having magic damage, also the weapon art damage escales exclusively with magic damage which CANNOT be increased since it doesnt scale
@@jevmenyt3422 That doesn't sound right. Many items have their scalings messed up and most are Int related. This might be one of them. Look out for the next patch.

@@yato7848 No idea, reloading the area, exiting the game, or resting at a Grace doesn't work.
Don't worry this stage of the questline is optional. Just to get the claws the invader uses earlier. You just have to continue Ymir's questline and when you'll have to blow the third horn (under the throne where Ymir sits) you'll have your rematch with the invader.

I think it’s in the Bonny Gaol can’t remember if that’s right
Yes it is in the Bonny Gaol, there is a pot lift right before the boss and you’re going to want to take the lift all the way too the top and that is where the set is
you can go to the right of the dragon keep riding on its wing until u see a finger on ur right and then keep going down it

I found 2 iris of occultations in my playthrough. Imo you should give the Iris of Grace to Jolán since their spirit ash can be upgraded to have a 2nd person with them when you summon it.

@@pxpieli8379 well actually I found a way. Just keep progressing the quest same as you would and when you find the other whistle location, talk to Ymir, then rest at bonfire and he’ll be gone 🙏
You need to go to another area/fingers temple, similar to the one in the upper right side of the map and sound another hanging bell (this one will give you the Crimson Seed Talisman+1) It is close to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Once you do this go back to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, expiry dialogs, rest at grace and he will no longer be in the throne 👍 Basically you need to sound 2 hanging bells prior ringing the last one for the boss
Guys, I did the quest completely correctly but it doesn't appear when I'm going to do the last part of handing over the Iris of Concealment, do I have to advance somewhere in the story?
Most likely. Elden ring has a tendency of locking side quest progression behind main story progression so it’s probably the same here. Just keep advancing and it’ll all unlock eventually
I didn't realize it was a long fall, I fell and didn't take the ladder and when I came back he was back in the chair and it was closed. Is there anything I can do to get the chair to open again?

Could you elaborate on the alternative pathing for jolan, how exactly do you get the item thats used to get her katana?
Never mind, I figured it out, during the second finger dungeon after you drain the water you go back down to the entrance grace and traverse down the elevator to the left, as you walk up to the tree there will be a tree spirit there for you to end. And once you leave the dungeon the item appears

Well, this video just helped me from start to finish. Not sure what point exactly is unclear for you. He shows you the order of the actions you have to do and the ways.

@@Brandalame Well.... I guess that can be confusing to some people. But he was walking from the dragon pit to the next drake and then to the right. From there on it's only 1 way, so i guess he cutted the long way cause it's wasted time anyway? You can also see that big gigantic dragon from far away.
But i think i can agree that it might be confusing to people who weren't even there once.

Now with the DLC out, looking back it seems the thing Ranni killed beneath the Cathedral of Manus Celes was not a Two Fingers but another Mother of Fingers.
It is literally said in the game that she killed her two fingers
@@johnboily561 That was for practical purpose. At the time when the base game was out, Fromsoft didn't want to spoil everything, knowing full well the modding community could dig even the tiniest detail. Miyazaki himself also stated some lores were saved for the dlc.
Zulie the Witch the dataminer guy tried to extract the model of Ranni's "Two Fingers" to make sure if it was indeed a Two Fingers but surprised to see the model was deliberately designed in a way that made it impossible for him to make out anything.
I suppose for the very same purpose, they carefully twisted the dialogues a bit to keep them as vague as possible, not giving too much a fact that there is a thing called "Mother of Fingers". They somehow dropped a few subtle hints for us to connect the dots when the dlc is out, like the name of the Cathedral and the starlight shards that scattered all over the place.
@@AnhTran-bp1eo the story of ranni is literally her getting rid of her 2 fingers/fate. The knife you give her is literally said to be made to kill à 2 fingers. Everything in her story is about the 2 fingers and the fate they are controling. Stop making stuff up

@@johnboily561 Yeah, I can hear you, pal. No need for Caps Lock. So you think just because a weapon is called "Fingerslayer", it is made to kill Two Fingers specifically? I can tell you the whole story but it's up to you to believe whatever you want:
- Marika orchestrated the Night of Black Knives as part of her grand scheme to bring down the Golden Order.
- The Black Knives used the exact same teleportation device which sends the Tarnished to Gurrang to steal a fragment of Destined Death from him.
- They killed Godwyn to obtain from his body a weapon capable of hurting the vassals of the Greater Will.
- In retaliation, the Golden Order obliterated an Eternal City of the Numen, even erased its name from history - the Nameless Eternal City.
- The Black Knives then used the weapon to kill all Two Fingers, only spared one for unknown reason - the one at the Round Table Hold. Only after all this was the weapon called The Fingerslayer, because it had been known to be able to slay the Two Fingers. Go check the description to see if it is described as a weapon made specifically to kill just the Two Fingers.
- Alecto tried using the weapon to kill the thing beneath the Cathedral of Manus Celes but was somehow defeated and imprisoned at a nearby Evergaol. However, the remaining Black Knives managed to bring the Fingerslayer back to Nokron.
- The Golden Order then sent a band of war prisoners to Nokron to search for the Fingerslayer. They then became the Inverted Hawk band.
- The Nox never planned to hand over the Fingerslayer to Ranni. She just straight up used the Tarnished to steal it from them.
- At the end of her questline, the Black Knives showed up at Ranni's rise to claim back their Fingerslayer.
I know people playing these Souls game tend to think they are the only ones who can get the lore right. And Fromsoft loves to drop misleading hints for people to jump to as many different conclusions as possible. If you find someone not interpreting the lore the same way you do, just shrug it off, pal.
He gave me the 3rd ruin map but he wont despawn so i can progress and there was nobody in the graveyard for me

are you referring to the full heal item? sadly no though it is a usable items it has major lore implications since it was an item Marika herself made for Mesmer but he discarded it
