I have no Idea how they managed to make so many of these attacks feel so...flaccid
It’s because 3D models don’t deform and the sound design isn’t great from this video. The biggest part of fluidity and power in actual anime is deformation and sound design. Some of this is also faked with screen effects like shaking.
My theory is this was supposed to be an arcade game turned console. It’s completely unfounded in anything but that’s what it feels like.

@@DerpyTC Yes, because we’re going to compare the gold standard of anime (and anime-adjacent) games to Byking (a B-List studio at best that’s only known for doing one other anime). And I’m certain that all studios can do amazing CGI because Ufotable has amazing CGI. Ludicrousness of the comparison aside, their models don’t inherently deform. They MANUALLY implement deformation. That’s a lot to ask for from a studio who didn’t even make anything of note until 2018 and that’s 20 years younger than ArcSys.

Tbh I think some of the ult looks very good! Like Geto, Sukuna, Hanami. I just think that some characters don’t get as much love than others
They seem to lack oomph. Only Sukuna’s, Yuta’s and Geto’s stick out. Also, disappointed as hell that hollow purple does not have that animation; you pulled that from story mode.
Tbh, I don't have a problem with most of these, it's just that the black flashes need more work(minus Nanami's)

Ngl, the problem with the attacks is that the camerawork for them is just... plain. The graphics are fine. But you can tell that they try to imitate the anime/manga too much and even the pacing from the series as well (ex. time slowing down when yuji and nobara uses the black flash together, aoi using boogie woogie, etc.). Also, the somewhat original combo moves between characters are cool, but they just feel lack luster for a game like this (ex. Jogo and Hanami, Gojo and Nanamin).
The Playful Cloud attack with maki looks pretty sweet

say what yall want but im for one enjoying the game, I dig the action in it and tbh its hard to make something that was 2D look good in 3D with as much movement and animation jjk has, plus I'm enjoying the story mode, people complaining about the story not being animated, you would have 11 hours of animation from JJK episodes in total, I don't wanna have to watch the whole anime again in a fighting game

Most of these attacks feel like they have... Little to no impact. One of the only ones I can find myself liking is Sukuna's because I feel like seeing the cut through your POV is really clever. Besides that this feels SO half-assed though

I can't wait to launch Cursed Clash 2, this game is more of a prototype and test, the second one will be better and with a bigger cast, which wasn't even with the My Hero Academia games.
While I think the game lacks polish, the idea of getting a Cursed Clash 2 surrounding the Culling games is just too Good. They can go outside the box and make original animations and moves, as well as add things we don’t get to see bc the manga always moves.
Spoiler Alert:imagine we actually get to see Yuki’s, Uro, and Ryu’s domains in the Cursed Clash 2. That would be great.
