lol
Lols welcome to the club😂
LMFAOOOOOOO
I'll come back to this video to tell you what grades i got...I am revising right now and will continue until 9th of may 2024...wish me luck! Will be right back!!
thank you so much for putting your time and effort into making these professional videos to benefit countless students.
Anyone else going for the triple 9 in science here?!
Thanks so much for these videos - I literally went from a grade 5-6 from a grade 8-9 in a few months thanks to them. Maybe the confidence I now have in science inspired me to pick A level physics too
I’ve been doing an hour and a quarter of revision each day since december so i soooo hope it pays off
honestly thank you so much for everything. i honestly would never have gotten 9s for triple science in my mocks if it weren't for your videos!!
thank you sir i am honestly very grateful for your videos i went from a grade 4 student in science up to a grade 7 in my most recent mocks after only 3 months of keeping up with your channel, youve just made all of the topics that i struggled in (especially biology) a lot simpler and easier to remember to the point where i was able to smash some of those 6 mark questions which i usually left blank or only got a couple of marks on. im dedicated to getting a 7 or higher in the real exams, and all my thanks goes to you. good luck everyone
thank you so much shaun!! tip 3 was honestly so good to hear, ive heard everyone say 'best til last' and i never agreed with that and here you are, proving my point. THANK YOU ❤❤
Hey shaun you really have had a large impact on my learning.I love watching your videos as they are really easy to understand and contain everything in such a small amount of time!I do triple and achieved a 9,7,7 in my mocks due to your efforts.I just hope that you keep uploading for the future GCSE science sitters as they truly deserve someone like you!
you're the only thing that got me through my 2022 science GCSE's, thank you :)
hello sir! I passed all my IGCSEs sciences in 2023 with A*s! I'm so grateful for your videos, they helped ke so much, especially with subjects like chem, which I had to learn alot by myself. I don't do A Levels but your videos continue to help me. Thank You!
Thanks so much sir I’m watching this on the morning of a physics mock your videos have really helped
Thank you sir! You are amazing ❤
Ty so much ever since I started ur videos i went from set 4 to set 3 and going on to sit a mock higher paper u have given me the love for science I'd never thought I would have :)
Hope I get the grades I need to do physics a level 🤞
Brilliant sir,❤❤❤
GUYS THIS GUY IS THE BEST
Got a 7-7 on my science GCSEs (predicted 5-5) all because of you and your videos thanks a million ❤
Hi Shaun!! I know this might seem like a big ask but is there any way you could compile your videos into paper 1 and paper 2 playlists? It’s totally fine if not, your videos still help an immense amount!
If you look at the channel page, you'll see sections with the playlists divided into each paper.
Thank you. I practice often. I have definitely improved over the year. From struggling to pass at the start of the year to now achieving a Grade 8 in mocks. So thank you. Your lessons really have been so helpful (I'm in my 50's and returning to education). I am studying Higher Access to Medicine. Which Flashcard App would you recommend?
anki is a really good app for flashcards
I'm not sure if this would necessarily be applicable to your subject, but I find that Quizlet is a useful app for making and reviewing flashcards. It's free (with ads) and if you get on well with it you might want to consider a subscription.
anki is good for flashcards because it uses spaced repetition, also quizlet is good
I recommend StudySmarter (also called Vaia)
man said 50 thats brazy
Hey shaun! Please could i just ask u if u think the gcse physics paper would of been made before it was announced we are getting the equation sheet, and therefore we could have possibly free 1 and 2 markers asking about equations?
Hi Shaun, I just wanted to thank you. I achieved all 9s in my year 11 GCSE mock exams, and I owe ALL the credit to you. I couldn’t believe that I managed to do it, especially because I struggle profusely with paper 2 content. I got top 1% in my year group for my science grades, and again thank you so much! I hope to replicate this in my actual GCSE’s
Thanks shaun for advice
I need someone like you for all subjects
Hi Shaun, do you think there is a cut off time to making revision resources eg flashcards is? For example,
Is there a certain time before May it should just be memorising the content, not learning topics.
It was lovely meeting you yesterday
Thank you sir !
Hi Shaun. Are your videos suitable for the OCR A exam board?
Thank you for this video! Do you have any advice on how to fit in revision around multiple extracurricular activities? I'm finding time but I'm often too tired to revise afterwards.
The best advice I can give you at this point is to temporarily reduce your extracurricular activities. Maybe pick one that you really want to do and put the rest on hold. Your exams will be finished by the end of June so you can then go back and do all the extracurricular activities that you want.
Shaun where is the smile right at the end of the video 😭
Do only football
I like to revise in 50-10 sessions (50 on, 10 minute break). Another nice tip for revision is to try and cover all of your subjects regularly. Sometimes I may focus on one subject for a couple of days after school but during half-term breaks I try to vary my revision to keep on top of all the subjects, otherwise it leaves me feeling rusty!
thank you sir
Have you finished year 1 a-level chemistry? If not when is it set to be finished? And what about year 2? Your videos are very helpful
hi Shaun, I'm well overwhelmed by the tons of topics and silly questions examiners ask in the exam. It would be about one single statement and interlinked. however, if you could do a video about different styles of questions and key topics it would be helpful.
Hi Sir hope you are doing well,
This has also been a big question of mine. If your videos cover both foundation and higher tier syllabus then what is the difference between them in terms of question papers and your videos.
Thank you very much
Hi Shaun, is it possible that you can create videos for the UCAT exams since universities are changing all the exams for medicine to UCAT.
Watching this even though I did my GCSEs two years ago and haven’t studied science since because I miss my gcse era😍
I needed this last year 😭😭 oh well haha still got through them
Hi Shaun, I go to a grammar school and the school has said that the Physics test will be based on 5 topics. Does this mean that the test will not be AQA questions, as I am completely freaking out.
Hello sir,
Please could I ask when you would recommend starting doing past papers for practice? For science, should I leave them until I'm confident that I have revised everything, or start now, when there are still some topics left that I am less sure on?
There are lots of past papers available but I want to use them resourcefully!
Thank you for the video advice; very encouraging and helpful. I am hoping to take Chemistry and Physics forward to A-level as I find both of them really interesting (alongside Maths and possibly Further Maths).
Hi. My own view is that past papers are best left until you have revised the material. However, lots of students use them earlier than that. Perhaps try one earlier and see how it goes and then decide.
Are your videos suitable for those taking edexcel exams? Thanks
Would these tips apply to A level too?
Also, had there been a precedent where AQA radically changes their wording in the exams?
Thank you!
Hey Shaun! I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you could help me out with something. You see, I'm a year 10 student and I have my mock exams coming up this summer. I was just curious to know if teachers use past papers for the mocks or not. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with this query. Thank you so much!
Many schools use past papers as mock exams and many schools make their mock exams by selecting individual questions.
Something to mention is that for mock examinations teachers may mainly use the 2023 past papers as teachers have access to them but not the general public
they do!
I'm not sure when the papers for may/june 2023 get published, but if they don't by the time you sit your mocks, the teachers will probably use them. Still, practising past papers is a very good way of understanding what the question is really asking for.
If its your actual GSCE mock, they may also use the 2023 mock paper that is only released about a week before GSCEs start, which you wont be able to find online. Either way, dont try to find the test beforehand, and just use older past papers for revision.
do you have a video of describe the functions of the structures in animal and plant (eukaryotic) cells including algal cells?
I wanna ask if you have any techniques of doing 6 mark questions in Biology and Chemistry?
Hi ,do you cover all the specification?
hey! im given the option to choose between combined and triple science. what difference does it make for my future a-levels, uni etcetc if i choose triple over combined?
Thank you bossman
Thank u g
Hi Shaun. I was wondering if u can post a video of how to do flashcards as I have started but I am not sure if I am doing them correctly. Also do u think it’s a bit too late now to do flashcards or is it still fine
Hi. The first exams are in May so you have three months from now. That's plenty of time if you've already started. I cover how to make flashcards in my video "How to revise effectively."
Do you have any techniques of doing 6 mark questions in both biology and chemistry?
Sir please make a whole playlists on Edxcel Chemistry A2 levels
Thank you
sir, can I start doing past papers after im confident with a specific topic? how's that going to work though, aren't past papers a mixture of topics from all across the subject?
I can’t believe I’m doing my a level biology this year ❤ I miss GCSE lol
thanks mate
Hi sir, So are the videos that you post eligible for Higher tier syllabus like GCSE tier H biology, chemistry or physics or do they only cover the foundation tier syllabus. This has also been a very big query among my class as the specification sheet for all exams do not specify whether it is for higher tier or foundation tier.
Thank you very much
All my videos cover both higher and foundation tiers. If anything is specifically for higher or foundation, then that will be stated at the beginning of the video.
@@Freesciencelessons Ok than you very much sir
@@Freesciencelessons Hi Sir hope you are doing well,

Good luck everyone!!!
Can you explain how to use past papers effectively and learn from them in the best way possible?
For me, past papers work best once you've revised. Then do a paper, check the mark scheme and see if you missed anything. Go back and relearn that.
thanks :)
Do u think GCSES in 2024 will be eaiser than 2023?
And also some scinece papers have been removed from some exam boards sites do u think those questions could come up in 2024?
I think that the GCSEs in 2024 will be just as easy or difficult as 2023. Exam boards go to great lengths to try to ensure consistency from one year to the next. The reason that exam boards put past papers in a secure area is because many schools use them as mock exams.
2023 was kinda lucky imo
Hi i hope ur doing okay, im revising now paper 1 biology and im using word document. Im now on 2000 words and just in paper 1 is that too much or okay?
hi, I am a year 10 amd I was wondering on whether I should start revising or not for my gcse, but I’m not sure how to
Hi, please can you make A Level Physics videos.
Hi Shaun, I’ve never watched your videos before and I’m just starting to revise for my GCSE exams this summer. (definetly should’ve started earlier 🥲) I was wondering if there is a list of all foundation tier science topics that could be on the exam? I think a list I could work through would be really helpful, and I can’t seem to find one online yet, and can’t remember all of them off the top of my head. Do you know what they are or where I can find them? Thank you so much.
Do you think theres a chance of getting an exceeding grade if you are at a 5-4 (aqa combined science triology)
Sir when do you think alevel chem will be finished?
Can I use these tips for A level sciences?
I am looking at this video with there now being less than a month until the start of GCSEs. I have unfortunately not been revising hard enough and I regret this but I want to achieve top grades. Would your advice still be the same or is there something different you would say?
I would say that you have a month before the first set of exams so use the time very wisely. You still have time to get excellent grades.
hi shaun. im going to try to study every day for minimum of 3 hours. do you think i can jump from grade 5 to 8/9 in these few months?
I can't say whether any specific person will jump grades but I do get comments from students who use my videos and do that. Work hard and do the best you can.
I think it also depends hoe you study.
I think a great way to improve your grades fast is-
Listen in lessons,(if your not shy anwser and ask questions,if you are anwser them in your head so you still engage).
Do past paper/homework(your homework is what you have learnt/revision anyways)
Understand what your learnign rather than memorisig first and dont cramp it all alot.
Like first, figure what your strugglign on and what are the most / high marked questions.Prioitise them and the easy ones that you have learnt, test yourself on them every once in a while
Hey Shaun, I was wondering if people will be given an equation sheet in the 2025 GCSEs?
There is always an equation sheet but normally it only has a small number of equations on it. The rest have to be learned. In 2024, students will get ALL the equations on their equation sheet. However, in 2025 the equation sheet will go back to normal (ie some but not all equations).
@@Freesciencelessons hi i did really bad in my mocks i got 1 2 3 4s 2 5s 4 6s is there still enough time to get 9s??
what about igcse edexcel?
Hi sir
Sir i am so confused that from where shall i start studying in biology
My exams have started but I'm a bit anxious about the results
I hope you're understanding what i mean to say
Thanks for such amazing videos
Regards
Nidhi
Hey sir, I just wanted to ask but where do you find past papers from because I’m struggling to find some, do u have any website that I can use?
Go to this page: www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/science
Select your subject, then go to Assessment Resources and you will find the past papers.
Ok thanks sir
What do you think is the best method for revision?
My Biology teacher uses these videos instead of teaching us - u have prob gotten us thru our GCSE biology
The problem with me is that I've done past paper practice but I'm just worried as since 2023 paper difficulty level has increased so I'm kinda freaking out
Could you explain what you mean by working scientifically
Working Scientifically is a topic at the beginning of all of the AQA science specs (Edexcel has something similar). It looks at how scientists work including how we assess the validity of data.
Will it award us any marks for knowing how to work scientifically?
do you think its possible that i can ger grade 9 in all sciences and maybe all subjects somehow??????
what GCSE grade for chem would need to be somewhat comfortable with doing A level chem
I really cannot answer that question I'm afraid. I've taught A level Chemistry to students who achieved a 6 or 7 in GCSE Chemistry who went on to do very well at A level. I've also taught students who achieved very high grades at GCSE who struggled with A level. I would say that the key thing is to aim to do the best that you can do.
i'd say an 8 is a secured a level chemistry (same as I did) but again as Mr Shaun said it is possible to get a top at gcse chem and flop the a level. it all depends on how much you're committed to chemistry
Hi, I'm an A level chem student in second year. I'd say focus more on developing a good work ethic and discipline to study as it helps a lot going into the A-level already knowing how to study instead of spending the first few months looking at how to revise best. Also when studying gcse chem, make sure your study enables you to actually think and apply chem logic instead of just memorising words and numbers etc.
at my school they say a 7 is good for a level
well you normally need a grade 6 but aim for higher of course
will you make videos about a level physics topics?
I have no plans to at the moment. I've never taught it before so I don't think I'd do a good job.
@@Freesciencelessons do you know of any good youtubers who simplify a level physics like you do with bio and chem? I'm applying for it and I think I'd do good in theoretical aspects but mathematical aspects of physics I'm not so confident in.
If you're struggling with A level physics, then the 2 best channels are science shorts and TL physics
thats honestly so sad because u are my fav yt channel for sciences and im picking alevel physics ;( my teachers dont teach i pass my exams coz of u ;( @@Freesciencelessons
Have faith in yourself Shawn!@@Freesciencelessons
How soon should my son in Year 10 start revising Shaun?
I would suggest a small amount of revision now to get him started. Then once Year 11 starts, increase the amount.
Is it too late if I start from tomorrow
You are the goat 🐐
I am very stressed I only have one week left for my mock exam and it is a lot to handle
Good luck
It's only a mock, do what you can, it will be a learning experience whether you do good or bad :)
The man, the myth, the legend it's freesciencelessons man
remember guys, these tips also apply to A level students like myself
Bro y didnt this guy do this last yrrrr when i was doing it
What’s the best way to retake your GCSE’s as an adult in full time employment?
I love you
2 weeks until exams I’m cooked
lmao im watching this the day before my university exams
how time goes so fast
shaun help me im gonna fail :(
Man is singlehandedly saving my entire grade set
Swear that intro is on spiderman
watching this as an alevel student is funny
Wish I’d have seen this video earlier 😂
Bro im not ready for u to die
🥲
Idk why I’m watching this as a year 7
can you be my dad.
How dare you not teach GCSE computer science, my son is stressed out that you do not teach GCSE computer science and he is worried that he may fail his exams and not get into Sixth form.
chill mate he’s giving a free service and you have the gall to demand extra 😂
there are probably plenty of revision resources for that subject, you cant expect someone who has no experience in said field to make revision resources on it
It’s only a month left and I can’t thank u enough, it’s been a long journey but now our destination is right round the corner 🫶
