The song got a limited release from the record label which meant video, no promotion outside of the Kylie Show performance and the X Tour and no physical single, only digital which was done around the time that digital only was still in a lower demand/appeal than physical singles were. The deal the label had with radio was probably to play it a couple times a week instead of per day. As sad as it is, the One is a perfect example of how an artist still needed radio and physical retail to have a single make waves. Had it been released today with how far digital/streaming has come it probably would’ve done much better.

An observation : visually this video is a masterful work of art , you can pause the video at any frame and it looks good enough to print and hang on the wall . It's a relentlessly belter of a pop song and Kyle at her best but also shout out to the video production team for doing a superb job . Outstanding !
