Casa Acantilado is a cliffside home located in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The house is situated on a rocky outcropping that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
The main volume of the house is based on two slightly rotated geometric elements. These elements direct the views towards the ocean, and they also create a sense of dynamism and movement in the design.
The social area of the house is located on the upper floor and is completely open to the outdoors. A large palapa roof provides shade and shelter, and the use of natural materials and ventilation helps to keep the space cool and comfortable.
The private area of the house is located on the ground floor and is accessed by a staircase that winds its way down through the concrete walls. The lobby opens out onto a pool that is framed by the concrete walls, creating a sense of infinite continuity with the ocean. The four bedrooms all have private terraces that offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

For the price I heard it's a STEAL, even though there's no real beach.

Eventually one day it will collapse. Those are some heavy waves hitting the mountain cliff.
