Love your vlogging style. I be scared someone is going to steal my camera when doing these type of shots or I'd include more of them in my own vlogs. I'm not as fast as I used to be. Lol. Can't be chasing down camera thieves out there in the world.

@@ItzSKYVlogs yeah I noticed. Plus you are in a pay off the world that probably doesn't have a lot of petty crime. My latest trips have been to Central and South America. Can't set me camera down on sidewalk on Copacabana Beach. It will walk off for sure. Probably could have gotten away with it in Roatan since it has probably 1% of the traffic and population of Rio. I'm the future I'm going to get more shots B roll shots like that.

Haaaaa... Grab a camera and go film some stuff. But I usually have a kung fu grip on it while I'm out shooting. I'm usually interacting with the environment and don't take the time to set down my camera on a tripod to get in the shots. Also, I'm the process of losing weight now so I don't mind being on camera more.

That Comica Mic is surprisingly good, especially in windy weather. Did you hear about the DJI adapter for the Mics? This adapter has a multi-interface hotshoe where the receiver plugs in on your Sony camera MI hotshoe, and you can use the DJI Mic2 truly wirelessly. Now that's some sauce! Great Video, Sky! 😀

Very helpful video. Your creative and constantly changing shots are right up there with Casey Neistat’s vlogs imo. The effort you put in is very evident. I subbed about a year ago because since Casey stopped the daily vlog you’re the only one I see putting this much work in. Keep it up!

how long does it take you to shoot one vlog? I was going to try to film everything in about 3 or 4 hours this saturday. Was going to try to get good at filming with just the dji osmo pocket 3 only. Do you recommend that or do you think mirrorless or better?

I’m with you on APSC lenses on my LUMIX S5 II, there’s an APSC conversion built-in the camera to go to APSC mode with no vignetting, just the 1.5 crop. So like my 18 to 50 sigma is equivalent to a 28 to 75 which is pretty dope.
Cost difference between the 24-70 is about $1300 vs I think I paid like $499…. big difference.

Lol yea, we do travel vids on our channel and I sometimes have 7 days worth of footage and long 20-30 min spans of us talking. Then going back and trying to match up shots with our talking recaps is a pain. I think the vids turn out dope but need to shorten my editing time lol. My advice would be to have some kinda structure to the talking.
Also edit the footage asap after filming.. it’s sooooo much easier when you edit right after filming.. if you sit on it for a long time.. you forget about certain takes and what you said…

Hey Sky, what about making a video of how you store your media after the video is done and also how you cleanup memory when you dont use those extra shots? Do you delete them or save them?

I have started to do the content part first then do b roll at the end unless i am doing a walking segment. It has worked out well but i am also on a time limit of an hour when doing lunch time vlogs. Right now i am in a holding pattern until I find out what is going to happen with my job. Not losing it or anything but switching building after being in the same place for 30 years!! Definitely will use some of those ideas in the future. My big issue is leaving a camera sit somewhere for those long distance shots. I feel like around here someone would nab it up and it would be gone😒Thanks for another great video and advice!!

The apcs lens on full frame hack is a nice one. I have used the 11mm 1.8 on the ZV-E1. Makes the whole set up feel like a toy but the image is still punching far above its weight . 🥷🏾😅

@@ItzSKYVlogs for the price and the compact size it’s great but I actually need to use it more often I’m going to trying some more vlogging with it this week . To make sure there’s no vignetting active stab + 1.3 dig zoom ( which works out to about 22mm full frame) .
