I love how when you grab the final key in the end for the Silent Hill Easter egg, it makes the sound of picking up an item in Silent Hill Games. It let you know what you were in for XD

I have to pause this game every so often to get myself together... I played through Amnesia (Dark Descent and Machine for Pigs), Outlast, Layers of Fear (and the DLC), P.T., and others... and this game, even in early access... it still just gets me. I have no idea why. It’s just so unsettling and there’s so many small things they implement that just add up on each other until, PAUSE. Have to make sure there’s not something behind me.
tldr; 10/10 can’t wait for rest of content. Scary and creepy af.

probably because unlike most other games of this type, this one actually feels believable. you don't actually see the ghosts all that often, but you just know you're being watched with little things like lights turning off on their own, doors shutting, etc.
i dont scare very easily. i just bought this game yesterday, and its got me absolutey pissing myself. im only in chapter 1. FUCK lucy

It's too dark for me unfortunately. Meaning I literally can't see anything even with candles. That first ghost eats me every time.

The sound effects seal the deal for me. The heavy noises of the gun, the screeching of the chair against the concrete floor, the frightfully convincing VAs whimpering in fear... it's all well done but damn dude...

Switching to ads was the scariest thing
Do we have to look in every drawer and move the camera everywhere? It really takes away from the atmosphere and creepiness. Like seriously some of the scares are happening right in front of you and you can’t even see it because you are looking somewhere else. There is intense music playing for a reason!
The guy playing is a noob
Although the dev's changed a few small details in the console edition, this helped me through a few parts where I kept getting stuck (read: kept DYING lol). Overall, great game so far. I'm gonna try to stick with it and actually finish a horror game for once. Not the best controls, but the atmosphere makes up for it big time!
This and Outlast 2 are the only horror games I been a bitch to play. And I love horror games lol

I agree. The atmosphere is amazing but the controls is actual garbage ans when I actually do them right it still kind of bugs out which gets me killed
@@red_vibe9984 If they'd just made a normal control scheme with a radial menu for inventory, the game would be excellent. It's like the devs had never seen a radial menu before. It's still fun to play but it can be so frustrating.
I hate this because I have to turn the volume up to hear all the spoopy sounds. And then BAM! loud ad right in my ear drums.

This game is confusing the hell out of me. How'd you find the garage key in that closet? I had to find it by first finding the note on the door, then it triggers the key to spawn in the laundry room dryer. This walkthrough must be out of date or something. Also , once I get into the garage, I have no idea where to go next. I did the whole thing with the camera and following the scribbles on the wall. I'm straight up stuck.
I can confirm that while consumable objects may be in a different location(since this video was recorded when it was still in early access), if you follow the video along while you're playing it still tells you exactly where to go.
This game is scary, but I have to agree it takes me hours to even figure out where to go next to trigger the next scene/part. I haven't even completed one chapter yet and i've played for a little over 3 hours. xD
I did want to buy this game on the new Xbox series X, but after watching this first part, no way at all!

It's set in the 80s, where your character is exploring an old house in which terrible things have happened to some of the families who have lived there. [SPOILERS] With Lucy, she apparently lived in the 60s or so and began hearing voices from the radio. "The Demon" started trying to possess her, and when it did, it made her kill and eat her pet bird Peaco. Her parents tried to seek help for her (hence syringes) but it made her worse. At some point, she locked herself in the bathroom and ripped off her lower jaw, then died from blood loss. That's why her model has no jaw, and why she seems to rip off yours, and why he found the mannequin jaw in the sink.
Allegedly, The Demon is the one who may be causing the horrible things to happen in the house. Your character might be named Dwayne, but Dwayne also might be a totally separate resident of the house. We don't know yet

It's very hard to make ghosts in video games feel physically there, and clearly these devs know what they're doing. They have a very bright future ahead of them with how well they can make a horror game.
