funny, cuz basically every Clark Kent design NEVER tries to look different than actual superman, to the point where it's a meme and stuff and people trying to debunk it with psychology and social experiments. And now people mad that this Clark Kent actually looks way different to his superman persona.

I LOVED the way Superman the Animated handled the Clark Kent persona,he wasn't a geek or a nerd,Kent was heady,reliable,capable,etc,etc,..the first Superman tv series from the 50s did the same thing with Kent too.
Tyrone Magus isn't a Superman Fan he is a Synder verse fan. It doesn't matter what Superman/Clark looked like he would have said something bad about it. Henry Cavill was the worse Clark Kent. He just looked like Superman in regular cloths.
To be fair cavil never really got the chance to have a true Clark Kent disguise. In man of steel he doesn’t have a secret identity yet and in Bvs he only has like two scenes in the daily planet and meeting Bruce Wayne where he’s in disguise.

Zack Snyder seems like a casual comic book reader, and it seemed to resonate with the casual reader. Gunn is a legitimate comic book fan, and I expect to see it in Superman. People complaining are wild lol.

Visually stunning, but as we see with the box office results of all his DC movies, that is not enough for people.

@clonedavenger Snyder is another Nolan. He thinks he's above the source material just because he was never into it. He superficially knows Batman and Superman but that was it. Wonder woman was the only ACTUAL comic accurate movie. It still stands as my favourite DCEU project to this day. Couldn't stand Nolans work either. All his movies are pretentious crap to me. But yes Gunn is a genius with this sort of thing and I'll take Peacemaker over any marvel project now. That show was a masterpiece.

Forget comics for that matter. Anyone who remembers Chris Reeve's movie would know this as basic information. Clark hunches down more, his hair is combed the opposite direction, and his voice is incredibly squeaky.
I agree with you completely. The curly hair is an interesting take to Clark Kent since no previous actor had that when they were Clark Kent, but if you look at it logically, the curly hair adds to the disguise of Clark Kent. Now, they look and feel like 2 different people.
u know what the issue is that they think snyder did it better. Even in BVS, I remember after watching the movie am like "why did Cavill play Clark the same way he did with Superman". Wasn't asking him to do something similar to Christropher Reeve, but at least play the character Clark differently than he did with Superman and even in the ultimate edition of BVS, it's the same thing.

People want Clark to be different because people shouldn't be able to tell that he's Superman. They get what they want and it's still not good enough. Let me ask the question. The way I see it, I feel fine with it. It makes sense for Clark Kent to change his look so no one wouldn't recognize him as Superman, changing his hair and lowering his shoulder and head a bit. James makes a great choice to do it. So I see nothing wrong with this.

Everyone hated On RDJ claiming the role of Ironman because of his past with drugs, which btw is on spot character for Tony Stark. Now we can never picture the MCU without him. People talked shit about Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine because he was a foot Taller than the character. Now he's the face of the character. People were sleeping on Heath Ledger as the Joker. People scratched their heads over Chris Evans playing Captain America after playing the human torch in the poorly recieved fantastic four films. And that turned out respectfully well. Robert Pattison went from emo twilight sparkle vampire to THE GOT DAMN BATMAN. And if we wanna stay on the Superman train. Nobody knew who the Hell christopher reeves was until he scored the Superman role. At the time he was this tall kid in the mail room who practiced acting but Richard Donner took the risk and now because of that kid from the mail room we have modern Superhero cinema the way we know it today. Tyler Hoechlin went from being a teen wolf, to a jobber on Supergirl, to being one of the Best portrayals of Superman ever when Superman and Lois came out. The haters and their yapping will mean nothing when success is 💯 times louder.
I think it's a reasonable request to want Clark and Superman to look completely different while still looking like a real person. Definitely need to see it in context of the film, but from these photos, his Clark Kent looks like a disguise. That super fake wig would draw a lot of attention to itself. Like the suit reveal, I see what Gunn is going for, but its coming across as super goofy and CW level so far.

I see nothing wrong with it. I guess these same haters don't like Christopher Reeve's portrayal as Clark Kent/Superman in the old movies either. Reeve's portrayal was a masterclass. Clark and Kal-El were literally two different people onscreen, which is exactly what alter egos are supposed to represent.

I read the books, and I can say that Clark Kent and Superman most of the time look the same, and it's only in All Star Superman where there was an attempt to visually seperate them. Second, I say that instead of having a hair that makes this Clark stand out more, they should have make him look fatter or something with prostetic double chin or a cgi belly, like, make a real effort instead of funny lookin' haircut.

Forget comics for that matter. Anyone who remembers Chris Reeve's movie would know this as basic information. Clark hunches down more, his hair is combed the opposite direction, and his voice is incredibly squeaky.

I agree with you completely. The curly hair is an interesting take to Clark Kent since no previous actor had that when they were Clark Kent, but if you look at it logically, the curly hair adds to the disguise of Clark Kent. Now, they look and feel like 2 different people.

u know what the issue is that they think snyder did it better. Even in BVS, I remember after watching the movie am like "why did Cavill play Clark the same way he did with Superman". Wasn't asking him to do something similar to Christropher Reeve, but at least play the character Clark differently than he did with Superman and even in the ultimate edition of BVS, it's the same thing.

I was thinking if cavill never changed any mannerisms when being clark apart from glasses, why would the people of metropolis not recognize him as superman, then I realized superman never interacts with the people he saves face to face, only hovering above them like a god. another reason why Snyder's superman was bad

Tyrone Magnus is a guy who had a near meltdown/rant about a two-second gay kiss, in a three hour movie (The Eternals). I gave up on him ages ago.
He's also the same guy who refused to take his wife to disneyland due to "wokeness" and then made a video about it.
you're right - and people don't even need to read comics. Just have a basic understanding of the character. None of this is new. People always complain. They complained about Micheal Keaton. They complained about Heath Ledger and Robert Pattinson. Then it comes out and they eat their words.

Thank you finally someone calling tyronemagnus out, I use to love watching his videos couple years back, he actually acted like a fan of the superhero movies but all he does lately is shit on everything just for the fun of it, I stopped watching his videos because he hates nearly everything now a days and pretty much most of his followers just agrees with what he says rather than having there own opinion because they worry about tyronemagnus blocking them, also he just angers me when he tries to speak for all DC fans and he tries to tell people that if they love this suit that there wrong which is toxic

People want Clark to be different because people shouldn't be able to tell that he's Superman. They get what they want and it's still not good enough. Let me ask the question. Will anything ever be good enough to please the fans? Because it's not just this, it seems like everything now even when something is legitimately good it's still a problem somehow.

The way I see it, I feel fine with it. It makes sense for Clark Kent to change his look so no one wouldn't recognize him as Superman, changing his hair and lowering his shoulder and head a bit. James makes a great choice to do it. So I see nothing wrong with this.

Tyler Hoechlin went from being a teen wolf, to a jobber on Supergirl, to being one of the Best portrayals of Superman ever when Superman and Lois came out.

I think it's a reasonable request to want Clark and Superman to look completely different while still looking like a real person. Definitely need to see it in context of the film, but from these photos, his Clark Kent looks like a disguise. That super fake wig would draw a lot of attention to itself.
Like the suit reveal, I see what Gunn is going for, but its coming across as super goofy and CW level so far.

I see nothing wrong with it. I guess these same haters don't like Christopher Reeve's portrayal as Clark Kent/Superman in the old movies either. Reeve's portrayal was a masterclass. Clark and Kal-El were literally two different people onscreen, which is exactly what alter egos are supposed to represent.

I read the books, and I can say that Clark Kent and Superman most of the time look the same, and it's only in All Star Superman where there was an attempt to visually seperate them.
Second, I say that instead of having a hair that makes this Clark stand out more, they should have make him look fatter or something with prostetic double chin or a cgi belly, like, make a real effort instead of funny lookin' haircut.
