Hi Sloan, about the inconsistency with the stairs. It actually checks out. In America, what we refer to as the first floor is actually the ground floor. In Europe, they have the ground floor then you go up 1 flight of stairs and that is considered the first floor.

It depends on the country but French definitely go 0 - ground floor or Rez-de-Chaussee 1 - first floor 2 - second floor etc...

I will say that blaming her for showing off her jewelry sounds a lot like the same rhetoric of if a woman wears a short, tight dress then she deserves to get harassed or assaulted. Look I’m not a big fan of the Kardashian culture crap but when I go through trauma there is tons of proof from real research groups that trauma causes memory loss and memory block. Period. This is not up for debate expect in the media and people just talking. So using details to do a step by step analysis that one thinks “proves” lies or truth and that’s not the case. Trauma causes memory loss and block bc your it’s the way of the brain trying to cope and deal with the trauma. It doesn’t want to remember that experience of nothing but fear, anxiety, basically all negative emotions at once. It’s an overload for the mind.

Ok, so I struggled myself also when I came to Europe with what 1st floor means, opposed to what it means in America. In Europe, what we would call ground/1st floor is ACTUALLY considered the zero level. And then to get to the first floor you would go up another level. It was super confusing for me at first because I always thought ground level is the first floor and the 0 floor was underground or the parking garage lol

Whenever a trauma occurs details are always going to be mixed up and the different perspectives of people involved are going to differ the story as what someone may see as traumatic another may be fine. Everybody reacts different to trauma and it shouldn’t be argued by someone watching from the outside as the reality is you really don’t know what someone has been through. Not the biggest fan of the Kardashian’s but if it were me, I would hate my story being dissected as if I was lying when the evidence is there that something horrible really did happen.
If her story was told exactly the same, word for word people would have an issue with that too. 🙄

A true story will vary slightly each time it’s told, especially small details like what was used to tie them up, but when questioned about the inconsistency, truth tellers usually become confused or admit their memory is hazy.

What we consider the second floor in america, is considered the 1st floor in france. The "first floor" is kinda considered as a ground floor or like a lobby.

I actually think the details being slightly different from each person lends to the credibility that this actually happened because identical details from different ppl is a tip off to police that the story is fake. Most people don’t tell their experiences exactly the same unless it’s rehearsed. Just saying.

How she said that they wrapped duct tape around her mouth but then she said she had babies etc. I'm sure when people recall trauma they probably could remember the facts out of order. I'm not sure. Its also weird that if they really used handcuffs and zip ties and duct tape how she could have gotten onto the balcony and freed herself. Celebrities, politicians and millionaires/billionaires now stay in "hotels"/airbnb hybrid, the front is a building that looks abandoned/empty and the inside is a gigantic/luxury townhouse/apartment on multiple level, and instead of having hotel staff, they have a concierge, they do that to avoid paparazzi and it offers them more discretion, I remember this top model came to Paris to have plastic surgery and stayed in one of those private "hotels" for a month, no photos have leaked. Politicians use them to have affairs too.
I remember when this happened and then Kim was explaining what happened to her sisters, Kourtney had the biggest smile while Kim was explaining the details. And I thought of how rude Kourtney is. Maybe this was staged and Kourtney was laughing because everyone truly believes it happened
I have heard that Kourtney set this up as a prank and it went terribly wrong. Kourtney has always been unbelievably jealous of KIm.

There are inconsistencies in the robbers story as well-he said he didn’t know who she was but watched Keeping up with the Kardashians and followed her on social media closely to see where she was. So he absolutely knew who she was outside of Kayne’s wife. I don’t think Kim lied I think there has been media spin, additionally him using the excuse of her flashing her wealth that he doesn’t feel bad. You know I’m losses if someone take 5 dollars from me, so there is no justification for theft/robbery.

Not true. You will remember it in vivid detail that will play in a constant loop in your head. Children will sometimes block out a trauma because they are not equipped with the ability to parse it, in very simple speak. Adults, not so much. Think war veterans, victims of attempted spousal murder who live to tell. People trapped on life rafts for days watching people go crazy and die around then. They remember everything, even if they are half dead. Look at the detail people remembered about the fire in Paradise, about the Estonia (ship), any episode of I Shouldn’t Be Alive if you do not believe what I am saying.

The robber was probably implying that any woman that would wear expensive jewelry to go swimming is careless and doesn't value their jewelry. I don't wear jewelry at ALL while swimming, not even cheap stuff because you take a HUGE risk of losing it. So yes she values it much less than a normal sane person would. The woman is wearing earrings that cost more than some people make in an entire year just to go swimming.

I do not like Kim Kardashian but as a woman there is no part of me that doesn't feel bad for her. Her fear must've been awful. I had a violent situation happen to me a long time ago where I thought the same things as her. When the police came I couldn't remember all the details correctly. I was so scared I couldn't think straight. That doesn't mean someone is lying and it does sound like victim blaming if people think it's her fault

I still find the episode where she loses her earring in the resort water a bit weird. Earrings like that usually have screw backs. You have to screw them on to keep them in place. They're not like normal earrings that just slide on and off.
