- This list is compiled of my favorite 20 motorcycle movies and it even includes a couple where finding a motorcycle might be a little difficult. If you think there are any that I missed or ones I am way off on, please leave a comment and let me know. Otherwise, enjoy this list and maybe find a new one to watch for your next relaxing evening.

The World's Fastest Indian is a great motorcycle movie. It even has a motorcycle in it. lol Great vid Chad. Thanks for bringing up the subject.
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man may be a terrible movie but it is a real guilty pleasure as well.

I kept waiting to hear Wild Hogs. I think that's my favorite motorcycle movie. It's a fun light hearted. I am so glad you didn't put Easy Rider as no. like so many others do.

I tried to stay away from moto docs because they would take over the entire list. Maybe another list is in order just cataloging docs and series because there are A LOT of them out there.
Also, The Lost Boys and Viva Knievel (Gary Davis did an incredible stunt)

Hagrid has a flying motorcycle in Harry Potter and it's one of the coolest magic things I've ever seen 😂

I know it and I hate to say, I wasn't impressed. I really wanted to get into it more but couldn't get the mystique.
There's something about motorcycles that just put me in a state of bliss. It feels like a modern reimagining of the knight and his steed. Just the image of a hero on a motorcycle is just pure badass, especially when the motorcycle is modified with weapons and gadgets
Totally agree. I also liken it a bit to flying...just really low to the ground. The movement of the bike under you so you are always being pulled down into it, feels a lot like what flying would be. It is just the most amazing thing and I cannot get enough of it.

Great list, I've seen almost all of them, my favorite scene is the chase after Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. You should see the super funny chase in the Italian comedy Altrimenti Ci Arrabbiamo. I also remember two other old movies: Knightriders and Timerider, the first is about a group of guys who had medieval knight tournaments riding motorbikes, the other is about a biker who travels back in time to the days of cowboys in the Wild West. And I complain to you for not including Wild Hogs.
I know this is going to ruffle feathers but I hate Wild Hogs...can't stand it. Sorry, but thank you so much for all the others.
Charlie’s Angels had some pretty cool riding in it.
I don't know how many times I would have to watch this movie to see anything BUT the Angels. ;-)

Holy cow. That is a GREAT list.
As an aging Boomer, I congratulate you on including the Holy Trinity of Boomer era motorcycle movies, The Wild Ones, Easy Rider, and especially The Great Escape. When I was a kid, Steve McQueen was the personification of "cool" and that scene of him leading the Germans on the chase through the countryside inspired more people my age, including myself, to ride motorcycles than anything else. On a side note, The Great Escape was based on a real event, and is amazingly accurate except for the McQueen character and the motorcycle chase which was made up to make the movie more marketable to American audiences. It worked.

You definitely need to check out Supercop (1992) with Jackie Chan, Maggie Cheung and a *phenomenal* practical motorcycle stunt by Michelle Yeoh!

Genuinely thinking, when people search for Motorcycle movies on CZcams, they rarely mean explosions, brooms, spec-effects and stunts, But the bikes and lifestyle itself:
Here are two movies that made me want to have one: 1. Tron Legacy - Ducati Sport Classic 1000 scenes
2. The Motorcycle Diaries - Well narrated idea of motorcycle: To feel freedom.
That is VERY true but I sat down to write this list and these movies just popped in my head as total moto movies even though some don't even have a motorcycle. I can't even explain it myself. It must just be how my mind works.
I really struggled with The Motorcycle Diaries because I know it is supposed to be this great movie about adventure and motorcycles but I just couldn't get into it. I tried. A few times and it wasn't happening. Maybe I will have to try to revisit it one last time.
Unreal that Biker Boys isn’t on a Top 20 for motorcycle movies! Definitely my favourite!!
I have heard so many great things in these comments but never bothered to watch myself. Maybe it is time to get a view in and perhaps revise my list.
The wraith with Charlie sheen, was more a car movie but the bike scenes always made me want to ride
Wow man!! I think you could have done a little better on your list especially listing movies like Apocalypse now and a few other movies that don't even have a motorcycle in it. I feel you should change the title of this vlog to my top 20 box office movies that make me want to ride. I was really hoping that you were going to mention Gemini man because I really love that motorcycle scene also the beginning of iron eagle where he races an airplane on a xr650. Also if there is a top 20 motorcycle movie I know it's a documentary but I feel on any Sunday should be in there. I know you were basing your list on Hollywood box office movies but it would be cool if you did a list of documentary type movies or just adventure movies or series like long way round or the bdr movies. Good job on the vlog! kept my interest all the way till the end just felt there were some movies left out.
100% accurate that I left movies out. Someone else mentioned The Fastest Indian which I really liked but totally forgot as I was assembling the list. That is the fun of this stuff sometimes, I get to hear all the feedback about the stuff I pick and the stuff I missed.
On Any Sunday would have absolutely been included if I didn't stay away from docs. I almost had to avoid docs though because I think between the ones you mentioned, MotoNomad, and all the great ones on Amazon, there wouldn't have been any of my picks left on there. This was more of just a fun run through cool, ridiculous, and non-existent motorcycle features in big movies. There is more to come.
I hope you can do another list with the best documentaries as I'm looking for new stuff to watch while my leg heals and the documentaries give me a better feel for adventure. If my leg wasn't broke I'd be out on the trails making my own vlogs or at least trying. I have never edited my own footage before. Also trying to get cameras together. I'm also new to CZcams and I want to start a channel. We'll see where it goes. I have a lot of downtime right now.

Did you run out of bike films, broomsticks, helicopters, horses. I would give you a list of ones you should have listed, rumble fish, Super Biker, silver dream racer, even any which way but loose, and really great short called cafe racer sometimes known as tunnel of love, girl on a motorcycle, running cool, fastest Indian, hell rider, mods and rockers, There were a lot of oldies biker films buster keaton Charlie Chaplin etc. here is an old one about the Isle of Man TT racing starring George Formby “no limit” 1935

Enjoyed your list. I had to watch to the end to be sure "Phantom Lake" was not on here (ugh. A study in ego driven leadership too goal centered to realize the damage being done).
This list was all about "Hollywood" type movies while avoiding the docs but I think if I were to make a doc one, Phantom Lake would probably be on it. I agree with you that it seems as much cautionary tale as adventure trip but it is VERY watchable. I would argue there is as much to learn from bad leadership as good, especially under stressful and dangerous circumstances.

I've always encouraged anyone who would listen, that they have lots to learn from poor leadership AND that when you are griping and complaining under a poor leader, you are also promising yourself that you won't behave the same way when you get your shot at leading. The only thing that kept me watching it was the hope that the leader had an epiphany somewhere along the way, that and I hope to ride in Colorado, some day.

That's 'The Mask')?… 'Little Fauss and Big Halsy'?… 'No Limit' (a classic from the pre-WW2 period )?… 'The Leather Boys' (a real biking classic, set and filmed in the Rocker scene of sixties' UK using real rockers on their bikes, from the original Ace Café, as extras)?… 'If' (Worth it for the scene where they steal a BSA Lightning from the showroom)?… 'Girl on a Motorcycle'?… 'Silver Dream Racer'?… 'I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle'?… 'Scorpio Rising' (that one's maybe a bit 'niche')?… 'The Lost Boys'?… 'Freebird'?… and if you want sidecars, there's 'The Team' (starring Ben Murphy… also billed as 'Sidecar Racers' in some markets)?

I want to see the remake in 20 when harry turns 40 and gets his first bike having been totally bored with his wizarding job and seeking new adventures. Yeh, the stunts in that movie are incredible and the Scrambler 007 is unbelievably gorgeous. I almost wouldn't even want to ride it but I absolutely would. ;-)
Glad to know I'm not the only one who arrived at "broomstick = fantasy motorcycle", broomsticks are my favorite magical trope for that reason. Counting fantastical equivalents to the bikes, I'd nominate Kiki's Delivery Service and Return of the Jedi as great motorcycle films on those grounds!

I caught so much flak for the broom stick thing...especially since there is an ACTUAL bike in the movie...oops.
@@BeGoneForGood The broomsticks are more bikelike than the actual bike, to be fair. Fun fact: The exact model of bike shown in the film, and the magical upscaling to size it to Hagrid, make the displacement of the engine roughly 5 liters!
@@SamnissArandeen In the first film it was a ’59 650cc Triumph Bonnie… but in later films they used a 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet.

I don't get your motorcycle movies definition there's bunch of motorcycle movies and you didn't mention motorcycle diaries, wild hog and many more title and thumbnail should be my favourite motorcycle scene movies
I get it. This list is VERY personal and may only have some distant relevance to ACTUAL motorcycle movies. BUT, even if I went with real no joke motorcycle movies, the diaries and wild hogs would have to get immediate vetos just because they aren't any good. I know it is a tough opinion and I am ready to defend but those movies wouldn't have made it on ANY list of mine for sure.

I have but i Bye My self can't finde any of this movies. There is One basball kid movie its not sandlot i don't think . But there is coupel of science featering a bad Guy older kid on a dirt bike jumpin over feald fence and moore . Theres a nother motorcykel movie the main charter is bulding him self a bike and His stunt are Moore advancd then any of the rider in the movie . I tried finding this movies with no sort of thumme nail

I never considered Biker Boyz, but mostly because it seemed like a garbage street bike movie. Maybe I was wrong but I also didn't include Wild Hogs here because that is just a garbage movie regardless of the bike.
Seriously though, I am so happy to have you watch the vid and leaving feedback. It is so fun to hear how all of us riders entertain ourselves when we are off the bikes.

The number 5 movie is The Matrix Series but specifically you see Matrix 2 in the clip. It isn’t a ton of motorcycle but it is REALLY good.

NOT ..George Romero ... ...i gave up watching after ...Fury Road ..i should of bailed earlier when he showed a car chase ,and said wished it had motorcycles instead ...
This is what I love about lists like this because there is no doubt conjecture about the picks. For instance, I have people SWEAR that Wild Hogs belongs on a top list and I could NOT disagree more. This is my movie list that gets my moto feelings winding up but I’d love to hear others.
Oh and the George Miller thing has been a regular stumbling block for me. I don’t know why that name constantly gets screwed up in my head. Thanks for the correction.

First off, this was my list and the movies I mentioned FEEL more like motorcycle movies and are far more enjoyable than Torque will ever be. I also stated that I didn’t use documentaries like On Any Sunday as they deserve their own special category. And SoA is a TV show so probably shouldn’t be in a movie list anyway. I appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing your list.
