iVMS 4200 Lagging and freezing (Solution)

Solution for the Hikvision iVMS 4200 lagging, freezing and with a slow video.
It's necessary to drop down the resolution to fix the problem.

What's the point of having an HD security system if you have to drop it to SD for it to work acceptably?

If you don't have enough bandwith, that's one of the solutions. You can still have the video locally recorded in high resolution since in the LAN you can have high bandwitdh. For remote view you need to ajust, either by changing the resolution or investing on a better Internert link.

I am having lagging and freezing issues on the NVR itself, any ideas (for months it worked great, now it starting, lagging and freezing)

If you will have better NVR it will be the best solutions. Cheap NVR didn't have power to stream 8MP and record 8MP.
