+jamadidthis There's something that binds ravers together we support the right causes. I was interviewing a film maker at a university recently and wearing my World Dance bomber jacket and a random guy spotted it and he was wearing a Dreamscape jacket bought me a drink as I had no cash and was kept waiting by a film maker who was late, 50 minutes late! Bought me a tea and some sandwiches because I was a fellow raver. Now my obligation is to pass it on, if I spot a raver in trouble I am bound by rave law to help them out.
me and my feincee live in Southampton there is a lot of buskers and beggars, as well as homeless people. but when we saw these gentlemen playing outside of primark singing "millionaires" my feincee turned to me and said " wait did they just say primark and child labour! outside of primark, whist busking in the city centre" to which I replied " I think so" . when they finished playing my fenicee went over to talk to the band and came back with 2 of their CDs. I have to say for Street performers PHAT BOLLARD are one of the best. and I hope we get to see them again making the high street their stage . keep it up guys and don't let anyone tell you that you are not contributing to the fine art of music because I feel if half the modern pop culture had as much heart as you let alone talent the industry would be a very different place. my fenicee loves your political style and won't stop telling people to listen to you. especially those who appreciate real honest music.
This band has made me a lot happier, as an ex-street kid who has traveled a lot inside of the states, this band is super nostalgic to me. It is the barbershop quartet of jug bands and their sound is exquisite down to the heart of my very soul. Loving everything they create, hoping for a stateside visit. I have friends in Olympia, Washington who would love to book them.
Not quite sure how I landed here - but glad I did. I live in hope of seeing you guys playing somewhere in the future. One thing's for sure: I'll recognise you if I hear you! Great song
This is the kind of band that creates an atmosphere and even in Ayr it would cause a fuss and people would dig deep, (not enough to pay for fuel from Bristol though) :)
Fucking excellent, as always.... but what the hell was that at 1:01?? Looked like that leggy vision took the boys by surprise as well! Brought a smile to my day, cheers for posting!
maxinator80ify It's a variation of a home made instrument called the "Washtub Bass." You make notes by controlling the tension of the string. This is done by moving the stick, and pinching the string at different vertical positions along the stick. This particular version is called a "Tea Chest Bass." Extremely easy to make and play with. Much smaller ones can be made from smaller resonating chambers (the box.) I like to make them with pencils and tupperware for my son.
Flat out one of the best UK bands right now. Yours sincerely, a humble junglist. X
jamadidthis Hip-Hop through and through.... This band is the shit!

"A slave to the wave, not the wage" - that is a really stoic approach to living right there! Woah!
