who are you to make such statement ??--if that comment have any merit---We would not have so many GREAT ARTIST from HOME--shut yuh rastafari mouth--and go sit down and Listen GREAT MUSIC
@@marlolevy8917 Who am I? No one special, just someone who is looking at the data. Who are these "Great Artist" you speak of? Because I do not hear any of their music on Jamaican radio stations. All I hear is Trap Dancehall. The majority of bookings for Reggae artists are international. The largest Reggae music festival is not in Jamaica. Not to mention, there are multiple large Reggae festivals that are comparable to Reggae Sumfest which only happens once a year in Jamaica.
@@mixtaper I know what you're talking about but I think it's because, this is classic music for us, but for the youth it's the music of their parents and grand parents. U-Roy, Burning Spear, Toots could fill big venues in Paris (my hometown) but not in London (I live in Brixton). Even 10 or 20 years ago, Japan had a bigger sunsplash than Jamaica. The Chronixx, Proteje and co, make reggae exciting again for the youth.
@@mixtaper use your brains. Jamaica is a small country of 3 million people. Of course there will be bigger reggae festival in Europe. There more reggae dancehall sound system in Germany than Jamaica. This is due to population dummy. Chronixx was made and built in Jamaica. His father was even a better singer than him. Stop spreading nonsense. Jamaica has reggae in different genres and we can choose what to listen to.

Me too on my train ride to work and back home

Right there with you
The world loves Reggae more than Jamaica does.
who are you to make such statement ??--if that comment have any merit---We would not have so many GREAT ARTIST from HOME--shut yuh rastafari mouth--and go sit down and Listen GREAT MUSIC
@@ivorysteele If it was simply population, then Dancehall would also be bigger elsewhere other than Jamaica. Try again.
"i'm the percussionist playing with the wailers
one with the shaker
mover and shaker
my name wasn't on front of the paper
but me no care at all..."
That ending record "Legend", made me love chronixx and zincfence redemption much more!
creation glorifies creater
If one peeson remembers my name that means l made a change....glorified unsung heroes out there.
In the ocean of fame am unknown sailor...
That message right there is what I hope will stick to our yute....
