It really comes down to which one you think looks nicer and is more comfortable to play cause the tone just comes down to what pick up is in it and that can be switched.
With the Tele, you're kinda limited on what pickups you can put in. A strat, you can just make a swimming pool and put whatever you want in it because they mount to the pick guard and it covers the hole. Strat also has a ton of awesome options for trems from the factory, or you can just block it/slam the bridge to the body to make it like a hard tail.
I always wondered why the middle seems to almost always be forgotten about, but then I tried accurately switching to my strats middle position on stage, and now I get it
I only use middle and neck pickup on my strat, probably because my first guitar using humbucker on the bridge & still can't get use to single coil on it
@@Ottophil I was thinking of the uses they're put to - people playing everything from country to death metal seem to be able to find the tone they're looking for in a Tele.
well you played the 2 guitars in the position where they actually essentially sound the same... i own both but personally i think the tele is more versatile other than the tremolo bar. the strat can quack but the tele can twang and growl.
love em both but my favorite guitar i ever owned was a black American Made strat with a rosewood neck. Love the diversity of sound and the feel of the strat
Slash called Strats the best sounding guitars, but also said there's no consistency between them. Some Strats sound phenomenal, some sound pretty bad. He said he always played Les Pauls because they were consistent, take any two, didn't really matter the model or year and they sound similar enough. He used his Strats for some cool sounds with Velvet Revolver I remember.
Strats for the sound. Tele for the simplicity. Tone knob. Volume knob. Strat I’ve had since 2012 and still can’t figure out all the sounds. Mids. Treble. Bass. Push pots. Too much. Lol.
Team Telecaster. Introduce the Jazzmaster and that's my team all the way, although my backup guitar on tour is my 60's style Stratocaster with a 10 way free-way switch and custom neck
I like both but if I play a Strat it needs to be blocked or I bend the strings out of tune too much. Telecasters are built like tanks and for function, where I think of Strats more like a sports car that needs a lot of fine tuning and they can be finicky. But, a tele is the old dependable workhouse that gets the job done everytime.
Sometimes the demons just whisper to buy both of them
We know that particular demon very well...
same thoo lol
And then you also need a les paul and a western
The voices don’t stop until I satisfy them …
😂😂😂
I am team “it’s been 20 years and I still can’t decide”
Same, I’m 15 with 40 years of which one do I prefer 😫
Strat - Neck
Tele - Bridge
100 agree
Shit
Yes
Right on the money
Complètement d'accord avec toi

I’m team middle pickup. It doesn’t get enough love.
it’s definitely my most used pickup in strats
I always wondered why the middle seems to almost always be forgotten about, but then I tried accurately switching to my strats middle position on stage, and now I get it

Jerry Garcia, Robin Trower and Bonnie Raitt are some exceptions.
@@helio1055the bridge is
Strat all day
As a a fellow pf fan I say strat
i agree w u brother
Definitely
Yup, strat is king
Tele is the #1 ultimate guitar of all time. When the apocalypse happens there will only be cockroaches and Telecasters left on earth
100%
100% right
And Kieth Richards
And cockroaches shredding on telecasters
Jazzmasters are better honestly
Team Telecaster because it's simple to use, sounds amazing and actually stays in tune
Love how quick to the point the vid is. You can clearly tell the difference
Tele all day long
Yep
Tele gang
Based of my personal experience If a tele is your first guitar i hate to break it to you but she’s not coming back….
@@Osatterwdym?
team jazzmaster 😈
Yes I’ve had a few strats, never had a tele.. but the jazzmaster is like a combo of my epiphones and strats.. it is very dynamic 😂
Both - they’re instruments, they each have a place.
I honestly feel like you can’t pick hah. They’re both beautiful sounding guitars with their own unique qualities so my say is get both >:D
Tele ... so simple and yet so versatile ...
I want the strat for the whammy bar, and the sound of the tele damnit lol
Tele with bigsby?
Teles for life even though I do like a strat
Tele! 👌🏻
Team stratocaster. The clean tone on a strat neck pickup is the most beautiful sound in all the world.
I think i just switched to team tele. That bridge pickup sounded orgasmic
The cleans on strat 😮💨. The mids push in tele sounds good for higher gain and cut better in a while mix. But I want both lol 😂
Team Les Paul
I have 2 of each. So both teams
Strat 100% teles always sound either really muddy or too weak but always when you don't want it to
Tele always
I actually have zero idea which one i like better...the strat has that annoying knob placement thing but i also like the idea of a whammy bar...
First guitar was a Strat and still have it to this day. With that in mind, I have a tele being shipped to my house as we speak so I’ll let you know.!
Love really is a battlefield
I’m team tone! Which ever gives me the tone I want gets used.
Strat for neck/cleans. Tele for bridge/OD.
Strat for comfort.
I’ve owned Strats, but currently I’m on Team Tele, with my Squier Classic Vibe 60s Thinline Tele.
Team telecaster just listened to Sypder and Benetar
Prefer strats, i had to have one it would be a tele
The Strat seems to be the rock stars' choice, but I think the Tele is more versatile.
With 2 less options. Interesting. You think 3 is more than 5
@@Ottophil I was thinking of the uses they're put to - people playing everything from country to death metal seem to be able to find the tone they're looking for in a Tele.
I like both,but still a Strat fan!!!!
I like the both I can’t choose 😭
I have both. But pick up the tele every single day
I think I’m changing my mind and going team tele!
The intro proggession sounds like Love is battlefield
For the neck, it’s strat. For the bridge, it’s the Tele.
well you played the 2 guitars in the position where they actually essentially sound the same... i own both but personally i think the tele is more versatile other than the tremolo bar. the strat can quack but the tele can twang and growl.
Tele. Tele bridge pickup!!
A gold strat with tort pickguard looks badass. I've never seen that before
Brooooo sg and explorer ❤❤❤❤
The tele is perfect for country and blues
I love them both, have the player series of both, and love them. Sounds great
Team Telecaster definitely
The stratocaster has the iconic body shape redefining electronic guitar played by jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn
Yeah both sound sweet !
I have both but the thinline tele is always my choice been for well over 12 years
love em both but my favorite guitar i ever owned was a black American Made strat with a rosewood neck. Love the diversity of sound and the feel of the strat
Both
Both sounds amazing but I bought the stratocaster
I prefer the telecaster, but both work amazingly for different thingd
*Team Telecaster for me!*
I got 2 tele a blonde broadcaster and custom sunburst 59 models... and 13 or 14 strats in different colors .... enough said lol
Team Jaguar. I have a very old Squier strat but never played a Tele.
Same.. I’ve had so many guitars, I’ve held a gibson once, I’ve never seen a telecaster in person.. 😢
Tele all day. Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH to be exact
Tele for cleans. Strat for Overdriven tones
That is very curious and I'd probably the opposite of the common take.
JAGUAR I have two now.
Stratocaster 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m a sucker for a good tele. It was my first real guitar and ever since then it’s always had a special place in my heart
I have both but the tele takes the slice
I’ve always leaned towards strat but recently got a tele and I will never look back
Rhythm player here, gotta go with the telecaster over the strat.
Team Tele for LIFE.
I love my schecter NJ tele
71’ thinline….💋
Team 'both' ... With a huge bias toward reverse headstocks ...
strumming telecaster, soloing on strat seems a good combo
Strat all day. It's like the tele, but way more versatile.
it depends, if i were to buy a guitar totally stock, i’d want a strat. but i modified my telecaster with lace sensors and it’s my favorite guitar
In my collection they both live peacefully together, both having their days out to cheerfully play outside ... 😂
Tele with a gut cut thank u very much and you’ll make my day.
cant decide! love them both! haha
Im a strat server lol but i luv the killerz vibe you got coming outa that tele 😂 both!!!
Too different. Team Tele now because that’s what my Dad got me at 15. Then I discovered Hendrix. You win some, you lose some.
Stratocaster for the win in this particular case, but not always
Stratocaster supremacy
I have both like them equally but for different parts of my set
idk. too much to think about. i got a tele with EMG pickups. crank the distortion all the way up and that's about it
Neck pick up on the strat is the one!
Both ❣️
Stratocaster . Greatest guitar design ever created .
Slash called Strats the best sounding guitars, but also said there's no consistency between them. Some Strats sound phenomenal, some sound pretty bad. @@sEaNoYeAh couldn't give a shit what Slash thinks . He's garbage .
I love the tone of a tele, but I love the comfort of a strat.
The answer is both! lol Though I enjoy my Kiesel spins on both body shapes!
Team acoustasonic jazzmaster...
Strats for the sound. Tele for the simplicity. Tone knob. Volume knob. Strat I’ve had since 2012 and still can’t figure out all the sounds. Mids. Treble. Bass. Push pots. Too much. Lol.
Team Flying V
Please both ,but tele is a sneaky guitar
Tele tim
Team Telecaster. Introduce the Jazzmaster and that's my team all the way, although my backup guitar on tour is my 60's style Stratocaster with a 10 way free-way switch and custom neck
Unapologetically team tele, right after team Gretch and team Jennings Voyager.
I like both but if I play a Strat it needs to be blocked or I bend the strings out of tune too much. Telecasters are built like tanks and for function, where I think of Strats more like a sports car that needs a lot of fine tuning and they can be finicky. I'm team stratocaster 😊
strat
I literally have that exact tan telly. I'm loving the thing but I'm not a super tone examiner type of guy so I leave it up to vids like this
Both as they both are unique
Telecaster is wonderfull
Nashville Tele 😏
Love ‘em both!
Edit:
Strat, neck and second position.
Tele, middle and bridge.
