Yeah but if we take an average diamond character vs the best gold then it’s a different story. It’s about the availability of said diamond and gold card. If you want to be realistic you’d have like a fusion 6 Jax and fusion 2 or 3 Baraka cuz there’s no way in hell people have more than 4 copies of premium gold characters without paying money which is so already stupid in itself
On my beginner account I have Lizard Baraka f2 and not even a copy of COS Jax ;) And yes, as I said I agree with the position that generally diamonds are better than golds but I disagree with the statement that ALL diamonds are better than ALL golds.
One extra slot doesn't matter for garbage like jax or wrech devorah
They can be great. You just need to know how to utilize them.

@@OllieRy321 I have a maxed out account, trust me that 600% damage with extra slot will carry you harder in battles than Golds without that 600% added, of course you have to be good at the game with every character
1 extra slot is good but for a character to be a "good" character i think it need more than just an extra slot(Basic attack,SA minigame,cb enders,passive,team comp,etc)
Like Wretch D'Vorah cant go anywhere near as good as a Gold kls scorp or Johnny kc
She can if you put another epic worth of 600% damage, but having maxed out account is rare

Not always. There are grapple sps that deal tons of DMG. For example shao Kahn sp2, lizard Baraka sp2, km Sonya and Johnny sp2. At the same time there are non grapple sps that don't deal much dmg such as assassin kitana sp2.
Circle of shadow jax is fake diamond he was promoted to diamond and lizard baraka is best gold ever
7:40 You can check the Rhino Stance talent. It is bugged because it also reduces the SP damage by 20%
Hi Mand. Really good video, which proves the point that garbage diamonds like Cos Jax/Leatherface/Wretch D`Vorah and etc. won`t get a lot of advantage from an extra gear slot - I`ll better fight in Fatal towers with KC team, that has 3 slots of equipment rather than with Ronin team, xD.
Also, thanko you very much for your content. Thanks to your videos with advices on gameplay etc. I was finally able to beat my first Fatal tower, being FWLT. You`re a great content creator, cheers
At max fusion, the maximum damage of COS Jax SP1 is very low compared to Lizard Baraka.
Despite the low stats of COS Jax, he also has some unique abilities which may be good and useful in certain situations.
Lizard Baraka is great and may be considered an Elite gold character.
Golds are more fun to play with, but diamonds are objectively better

Nice video I like the idea but I've always knew that golds like Klassic Scorpion for example are better than almost all diamonds out of the Top 10 ones maybe and yet still even those top 10 are sometimes worst in a boss battle
jaxes sp1 is known to be the top 3 weakest sp1s in mkm so this isnt really fair. Still almost every diamond is better than the best golds. Baraka may deal 200% more damage than jax but jax has 1 more slot so if you give him f0 epic tower gear( which every player can easily get), he will deal 300%more damage in the certain tower so he will still outdamage baraka (I know its only in towers but lets be honest- thats the most important game mode as all the others are easy for intermediate players)

@@MANDMK u used 160% damage boost while I clearly admited that baraka does 200% more damage so how were u expecting for jax to deal more? As I said if you gave jax f0 tower weapon he would deal more damage then baraka while having similar hp and another 3 gear slots remaining
F0 epic boost DMG by 150. I don't get your point. If we agree that Jax will have an extra f0 tower epic then the difference between him and Baraka will be 150. And I don't even wanna get to utility, passive etc where Baraka eats Jax alive .
@@MANDMK I though epics gave 300 at f0 so thats where u r right. It isnt suprising that baraka deals more damage since he even has better basic stats. Whether all diamonds are better than best golds depends on how well you can use the additional gear slot, if your account is advanced enough, the gear will make a big enough differance in making jax better than baraka(his brutality set for example). I can defenitely agree that if your a newer player then some f0 diamonds will be worse than best f0 golds.
Lizard Baraka Tarkata warrior deserves to be a diamond card. He will always be the best for gold cards and even some diamond cards because he possesses all the necessary qualities, including power drain, speed, regeneration, high critical hit probability, quicker power generation, high damage sp1 & sp2, and the ability to apply snare with certain talent from the support tree of talent.
Pretty sure KCJC can also score more damage points than Jax and many other diamonds, plus the power drain on sp1 is a huge bonus
This comparison has no point, KCJC beats almost all diamonds at sp1, he is a real boss killer.
@@ionutz289proves that a gold card is out doing them when diamonds are supposed to be direct upgrades. Diamonds can be slightly weaker but overall better in most categories than gold

To be honest not all diamonds are better than all golds. Think about this, I started clearing normal and fatal towers with gold cards way before I maxed any diamond card. I agree with Mand's opinion: diamonds are generally better than golds but not all diamonds are necessarily better than golds because of an extra equipment slot.
also important to mention that you are comparing a fake diamond to a premium gold characters which is way harder to get than diamonds
I think when ppl say diamond better than gold bc of the 4 slot is referring to the ability not damage. D jax can have 3 resurrection gear while G baraka can only have 2. at least that how i see it.
also this test is unecessary. u only need to see cos jax sp1 and compare it to the next character with similar attack power. same case also happen to jacqui grapple sp1 and cryomancer sub zero sp2. They have lower damage compare to other character with similar attack power. maybe this happen bc in the past the dev tried to balance some grapple damage, n it didnt get buff today bc nobody cares about them.
Mand although I agree that some golds are better than diamonds. I will also say the test can be manipulated depending on who the opponent is what their gear is what their toughness is how strong they are, shield? etc. just playing devils advocate here even though I do think lizard Baraka is a mkm god..
This is a flawed test you’re testing against four different characters and fax them out if you do you get a better result if you do it in battle mode I want
Battle mode works better to test the damage it’s consistent anyways consistent defense secondly I will take Jack’s is passive will be in invincible than baraka who can get wrecked if he’s not invincible critical hit chance only works every now and then
If you played Jack’s right Jack’s can we do every sing go here and be invincible afterwards that is much better Paso than anyone has any game you just don’t know how to play them learn how to play with charcoal saddle jacks and he can go and shop bosses and survive

A diamond character can never be better just because they have 4 slots and a gold has 3. Lets take it to the basics and talk about usability and effectiveness of the character. Theres a reason why MK scorpion Klassic Raiden and Klassic Lui Kang are better than a diamon jax, its not because of the gear those characters are just plain better and what the bring to the fight is only complemented by the gear. Gold cards like KC Johnny and Klassic scorpion for example brings much more to a fight that diamond Jax. I like characters that can clutch in difficult battles and some Diamond characters are just not as good at that like some gold characters and they are not as effective as certain gold characters even with the extra gear slot.
Dear debate settle we won I think couple months back or a year you were saying we should get like another tier of character like we got goals and diamonds brands and so on I think so too hear this idea you know in mortal Kombat x you could choose between three different variations for a character I think they should do that for Mk mobile with a new tier of characters what's your opinion and anyone else

If ascension gold cards had an extra gear slot then i would argue KCJ and KL Shang Tsung would be better than half of the diamonds, maybe more

All diamonds are better than all golds only if you have a maxed out account. I'd rather take BD Kano with another epic weapon slot for 600% damage than Baraka or Johnny, but in general case yes, there are some golds better than some diamonds
I can 1 shot every single fight in WLT with gold characters apart from fatal 200. What is the advantage of diamonds then? 1 extra fight per run? Not a big deal imo ;)

@@MANDMK Well that’s true, but at the same time being at the end game you can only challenge yourself with doing bosses faster than previous time, 10 seconds faster is a big achievement when you don’t have anything else to do

I don't hate Jax...He is just...bad. I only hate mk11 jade (playing against) and leatherface (playing with)

Jax is very weak.lizard baraka is a monster .my favorite gold..with proper set up Jax can be a beast too.i run him with dark mantle,jaxophone,champion leather bracers,and shintai of the north.

This comment hurts my eyes. The argument we are testing is if ALL diamonds are better than ALL golds. This argument implies that the worst diamond will be better than the best golds. It is included in the word "all".

Why should I do that. I don't make a claim that Baraka is better than the best diamonds. My argument is that Baraka is better than SOME diamonds that debunks the narrative that ALL diamonds are better than ALL golds because of the 4th slot.

Golden cards form 2015 are TRASH. NRS should be delete some of them or merge with another hero card. For example: Sub-Zero Cryomancer and Grandmaster. They easy can be forged into one. Same with Reptile, Scorpion, JC, SB, both golden Kenshi and KunJin.
In the other time newest golden characters is diamond with low stats and only 3 slot. And they way better than ascended old card like Goro, D`vorah, COS team, ColdWar team, Ronins team.
