*Construction seemed sturdier than other units I considered **MyBest.Tools** Noise level was reasonable. Good pressure and cfm capacity for a small reasonably light compressor.*
good for light and occasional use as soon as i had to do a painting job with spray gun it screwed up ,now i can only use it for 2 minutes maximum before it gets overheated and quits
I think I'm about to order me the same exact compressor tomorrow . I found one for 186 and I know I ain't gonna find a better deal so it just makes sense to me to just order it and have that out the way
It's still working great for me. I really like it.
Thanks for your video I'm looking for a replacement air tank. My current 8 gallon ($170) Husky is starting to seize up, and it's pretty damn loud. Truthfully I never emptied out all the air (water). The California model 8010A ($245) is all aluminum. Probably the extra $40 is worth it...
Nice video, thanks
Excellent
I have ordered a 2HP/10GAL Cal Air Tools compressor. Should be more than enough to run an LVLP spray gun. I am hoping I don't get a lemon because I have heard more than once that their quality control is non existent, factory testing is a myth and their customer service stinks. Fingers crossed on this $360 investment.
I haven't had to call customer service and my experience is the quality is great. Hopefully your experience will be the same. Still happy with it.
@@how2togo That is good to hear. If it works as as well as advertised and lasts for anywhere near the claimed 3,000 hours, I will be a happy guy. I will be installing an hour meter on mine. Everyone should do this since it is the only way to gauge usage.
yes i have seen the prices went up. I purchased mine for quite a bit less than what's published.
How much did you pay? It's at 189$ usd now.
@@gmodesike its like 265 usd now lol. Where are you finding that price
@@taxoe2 I am talking about sound, db or decibels, I am not talking about price.
I got one of these things, and it only runs continuously for 10mins... and then I cant use it for another day or two
Strange. I've had mine for several years now and had no issues.
@@how2togo I wish I been outta commission since i got this thing, and I dont trust em enough to deal with em again
60db is what it is
Spec says 70 db.
@@how2togo www.californiaairtools.com/ultra-quiet-series-of-air-compressor-contractor-grade/1-0-hp-air-compressors/cat-8010/
@@how2togo You are incorrect. Specs say 60db.
Unfortunately, the warranty service sucks big time with this company. Had an overheating issue after 4 months and they wanted me to ship it back to California. I didn't keep the box or styrofoam and they said, too bad..........find another box somehow.........
They’ve always been fine to me and answered all my calls. You really couldn’t come up with a box to send it back in?!
@@JeLifeCoach Seriously? Besides the box, you would need a crate and enough padding everywhere..........Why won't they have a dealer they contract with in each big city that could do warranty repair? Other companies do it......
Good to know these things about a company, it goes a long way when you’re considering buying a product
I'm a facilities maintenance director and I will never buy one of these pieces of junk again. EMAX makes a better compressor, its American made, better warranty and customer service. California air tools has no customer service and refuses to send you parts even if its under warranty. I've had 2 of 4 units just blow up, and they refuse to answer my emails and never give you a phone number. They are a rip-off.
Interesting. I have had mine for years and it's working great. I have never had to try and get support. Hopefully I wont have to.
Still too loud
