Neanderthals & Cavemen?

  • Who were the Neanderthals? Sub-human cave-dwelling brutes, or descendants of Adam and Eve, made in God’s image? The evidence from Neanderthal anatomy, culture, and DNA is consistent with a biblical worldview. Neanderthals were a fully-human post-Flood people group, not an evolutionary side branch.

    Even nowadays, we have people living in cave, so-called cavemen. We have people living in all kinds of places today, and that doesn’t mean some people are more advanced than others. We are all created by the image of God. We all have royal heritage.

    I'll stick with tendon thanks, over gluing points to shafts. When damp tendons are wrapped aroun dthe shafted of the point, it glues itself to the stone and wood as it shrinks to a very hard layer. That can be smoked over a fire to help waterproof it.

    Hello,
    My first visit to your channel.
    I did watch a rebuttal of Hugh Ross on YT on TV.
    I liked what I heard.
    I loved when the gentleman said he was a biblical creation believer and not a "young earth" creationist.

      Probably not too different, considering that the Ark passengers could have carried nearly 80% of the then-circulating [pre-Flood] alleles.

    Similar to what Keaton said at 9:13 about people watching, I remember seeing someone with an, uh, unfortunate face. He looked like an "evolutionary ancestor" illustration in a textbook. As y'all well know, shapes and sizes of humans are in a wide range.

    • @iamshredder3587

      To think not so long ago Evolutionists would've likely had someone like that put in cages on display at the zoo with monkeys or murdered and chopped their corpses up for their evolutionary propoganda displays at museums and such, like they did with so many Australian Aboriginals or Africans.

    If a population of Scots or Nigerians came to New York, would we call it "interbreeding" if there was mixing of marriages? Is "interbreeding" a word more suited for animals than for humans, and Neanderthals who are also humans?

    • @cmikeatonhalley7080
      @cmikeatonhalley7080 Před 3 lety +3

      I don't think it's totally inappropriate to use that term to describe the mixing, but I do take your point. To me, it's a little odd to even use the term "breeding" when speaking of human beings. And our whole point was that both Neanderthals and sapiens are human beings, so the two groups are really one group and the distinctions are blurry and not all that significant. Language does matter, and we don't want to let our ideological opponents smuggle evolutionary assumptions into the vocabulary.

    Imagine you live post-Babel and your language is confused.
    You were one of the brainiacs in building the tower and spent your whole life in academia, with little other skills.
    Now that no one understood you, you and your friends would have to settle for caves while the laborers built cities.

    The first men lived up to 1000 years thats why there skeletal structure was completely different because of gravity they stooped over think of a 90 year old man then think of a 900 year old man.
    All the answers are in genesis.
    God shortened our lives to 120 years in Genesis 6.
    I am guessing that there interbreeding was there sin nature and they reaped what they sowed with there bodies disfigured.
    Bottom line we all have finite minds and cant understand infinite things unless God allows us to.

    Dr Robert Carter, commenting on Neanderthals: "...they're not any more different than a major racial group..." Not sure which major racial group her's referring to, but they were quite a bit different. Different enough that no one could mistake a Neanderthal skeleton for a homo sapien skeleton. At the same time, it's true Neanderthals were humans. They could cross breed with homo sapiens, and have offspring, which explains why modern humans have a percentage of Neanderthal DNA. At the same time, the morphological differences are clear.

  • @IronMatt

    Good stuff ya'll 👏 . I've heard a theory that says the reason the Neanderthals got isolated was due to the post flood ice age and didn't necessarily have to be post babel. Yet being isolated up north and that the more recent specimens found indicated more distinct mutations due to inbreeding. Such as the brow ridge and recessed chin an such. Longer lifespans and closer to being a few generations out from the ark had something to do with then having some genes that we don't have as well. I love this topic. God bless.

    • @creationministriesintl
      @creationministriesintl  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, Neanderthals were inbred, and their bones are usually associated with the ice age.
      However, the Tower of Babel account would have occurred before or near the start of the Ice Age, not after. So you would have the nations spreading out just as the Ice Age was about to start. The ice age probably peaked around 500 years after the Flood.

      Jesus made everything that was made.
      The late Rob Skiba theorized that fallen angels did a lot of breeding or cloning hybrids. But they could not originate new life, only mess with what God made, just as modern humans “made” Covid 19 in the lab.
