Hi, I subscribed to your channel. You seem to have a great personality shining through all your videos. Your videos are very resourceful and fun to watch! Thanks. I have two questions concerning a UX designer role. Q1) Who facilitates UX workshops and what kinds of workshops are run on a day to day basis? Does it fall on UX designer or workshop facilitator or...? Q2) UX design is based on user research, so user research is very important, but how do you get the user data if the company let's say doesn't have a research team? UX designer has to somehow find the users and conducts user researches on their own? 🤓👍💯
Thank you so much, and thank you for subbing 😊 In my experience, UX design workshops are few and far between and they don't happen daily. They are usually facilitated by the design manager or senior designer. When it comes to research, without a researcher on the team the UX designer has to handle research as well, but there should already be a process to follow so you shouldn't be starting from scratch. I hope this helps!

How would I go about finding a ux designer job specifically for my field? Ex: I have a fashion degree right now and work in e-commerce
I would look at jobs in that industry! If you have experience working in e-commerce, that will look amazing on a resume

I would look at FB groups in your local area but for larger ones, Sista Circle: Black Women In Tech is great resource!
