Fun fact: she was sick when they videoed that. She didn't want to do because she was afraid it wouldn't sound good. The pianist convinced her to just give it one shot. And that is what you saw. 1st take! One shot! No redo!
Another fun fact she called me the other day and asked if i wanted to go to dinner and she wanted to begin a relationship. She was begging so hard " oh sean please your all I have ever wanted and needed " i was like stop begging its not attractive. Then my alarm went off and it was a dream
this made me lol. 5 stars.
@@jasenyoface7555 I'm glad I could make the day a little better for ya
@@jasenyoface7555 the one take part is true but yea she wasn't ill
It was one take but she was not ill.She was worried her voice was tired. They were in Zurich at the end of the tour and had already recorded two songs that day - one of them was the very popular All About That Bass. So tired but not ill.
I've heard someone say "She sounds like Marilyn Monroe looked" i found that to be one of the best compliments ive ever heard.
I think she sounds like Marilyn looked. Marilyn was not a great singer.
@@michaelsamu7082 that’s what he said
I love the look of astonishment on people's faces when they discover Haley (and PMJ) for the first time. Great job, man.
me too - i love watching reaction videos of people hearing&seeing her for the first time. I especially love watching their facial expressions throughout the video
It is satisfying to watch. My first video was All About That Bass. I love Haley and all she has done; but I fell in love with Morgan.
Me too.
I laugh everytime. It just makes me so happy to hear the song everytime though.
This is one of the greatest vocal performances of all time. The mic need a cigarette. Haley's voice is sultry, strong, raspy, and sexy. Her use of her hands, and her facial expressions suggest that she has acted or sung in musicals. What.a great performance.❤❤❤
Shes an absolute goddess. Her vocals are spectacular...so much class!!
My all time favorite version of “Creep”. ❤️
i went and saw PMJ live. they are 10x better live, hard to believe it. I spent $150 each on tix for my wife's Bday and she was pissed and when we left there she said I would have paid $500 for those tickets. they were that good!
I've been listening to this group for a while now and really think they bring a great twist to modern music of today.
I first heard this at my brother-in-law's wedding reception. There was a whole playlist of PMJ that played softly in the background while everyone ate, before the DJ kicked the dancing off. It gave the whole affair the feel of an upscale cocktail party, and I recognized the lyrics to All About That Bass and was like 'WTF?!" So this was the second song, and I made my husband go up and ask the DJ what this was. After that, we were fans! Love this!
PMJ does various artists doing various songs in the style of the 20's, 30's and 40's They are AMAZING!
My favorite thing about this is that she was sick when she recorded this- so she did it in one take. One. Take.
'Mad World', by Hailey Reinhart & Puddles is my favorite from them.
Royals for Puddles too please lol would love to see him react to just Puddles
I will add my voice to this request.
I too concur. That or All about that base or umbrella. All were awsome.
I agree!!
Puddles Chandelier
If you like Haley's voice, I recommend checking out her American Idol performance of House of the Rising Sun. That one performance turned me into a big fan.
And Bennie and the Jets by Elton John. Really all of her idol performances are great
That's the song that got me obsessed with her.
I loved her version
If you think this is sexy, you should hear her cover of Seven Nation Army.
GOD yes.
*sweats in bisexual*
YESSSSSSSS
YUP. and oops I did it again.
One million percent YES!!!
Double-Barrelled Simian I also loved Mad World with Puddles. She’s incredible x
Vocal training shining through and that voice is killer. This lady has a future.
It is amazing to hear what a change a tempo , and arrangement can change the feel of a song. Shows the power of a song.
Welcome to the world of Haley...she's a STRAIGHT UP BOSS and whooo lawdy lawdy she sho nuff can SANG!!! I love when she does the "scats" too!! "Seven Nation Army" next PLEASE...great reaction❣❣ Actually ANYTHING she does is FANTASTIC...JMO ❤🤘❤🤘❤
❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️
I've watched and listened to this video so many times. I'm still impressed. One of the best performances I've heard.
Scott Bradley is a musical genius. All of the arrangements are done by him, and he cannot read music.
Seven Nation Army is an absolute must but she has also done some really, really good original songs too. Check out, "Don't Know How To Love You" for an outstanding one.
The range. The Power. The Growls. The perfection.
The arrangement is superb. Not normally a fan of vocal gymnasts, but her voice has feeling and soul.
This is straight out of a 1950s nightclub lounge! PMJ specializes in modern songs performed in throw-back styles, and Haley bills herself as a "lo-fi soul." She would have been a big hit in any decade from the 1920s to the 60s.
Notice that this performance is a single take. They were on tour in Europe, using a borrowed studio, and she was sick that day.
There are several more Haley/PMJ performances, but "Seven Nation Army" is on par with this one -- czcams.com/video/sB6HY8r983c/video.html
Excellent points 👉
Morgan James on PMJ.."DREAM ON"...it truly gives my soul a hug..
PMJ Morgan's cover of Take Me to Church is another great one. I love PMJ and it's a great way to be introduced to a TON of great vocalists because they feature a lot. Um, I don't know where else to make this pin request but since you said international and just rockin in general, I would also like to recommend Dimash - SOS
Her cover of Black hole Sun is probably one of the best things I've ever heard in my life.
She is also brilliant live. I've seen PMJ on several occasions, and they always, always bring the house down.
Man i think youre one of my current favorite reaction people. You're so genuine and the stuff u react to is super diverse and i love it. Also some of your reactions are hilarious
A PMJ must is Morgan James doing Dream On. Also to get three for the price of one react to All About That Bass, oh and the bass players...
I can not agree with this enough!!!
And Maps, I love Morgan singing Maps!
Voctave, featuring Mark Lowry, - Mary Did You Know. Mark wrote the song, and it's one of only 2 performances that Pentatonix couldn't improve upon!!!
I would also add Voctave's version of This is My Wish/Peace on Earth Medley. The sheer breath control and marvelous vocal technique in that arrangement is astonishing!
@@kimbettendorf3937 I vote Disney Medley. He already knows Kirstin and that soprano and harmonies are crazy.
@@kimbettendorf3937 Totally agree - EJ is a beast.
I really love and appreciate your reaction to one of the best singers ever!
More postmodern jukebox. They're amazing!
"I want a perfect body" Honey you've got it
Amen to that 🙏
Postmodern Jukebox is so fun to watch live! If you can make it to a concert by them, they are extremely fun.
this is probably one of my most favorite covers of this song. Brian Justin Crum from America's Got Talent fame, his version of Creep is also worth a looksie!
I love Hailey on this one, hell every one she does, but my personal preference is Morgan James. Her covers of 'Dream On' by Aerosmith and Maroon 5's 'Maps' done 70's soul style are epic.
Highly recommended.... You'll not be disappointed
Couldn't agree more. I think Morgan is the best female singer in the United States right now. Incidentally, she and her husband, guitarist Doug Wamble, have been uploading excellent covers of many, many songs while they are quarantined in their New York place. See Morgan's CZcams channel.
“Maps” blew me away because the girl demonstrated some amazing and strong vocal chords
Her voice on maps pretty much got me pregnant..
Haley and Morgan ... Dear Prudence
I love the smash zooms on your face, they proper tickle me! New sub, here from the Pentatonix vids. Glad to have found you!
Cold Shower indeed!! Haley has a subtle way of taking my breath away! Great reaction! Subscribed. 👍
Scott Bradlee, the pianist, is the arranger for PMJ. He's incredible.
They have done so many great covers!! One of the ones, i don’t see recomended in the comments is Crazy, done as a duet. Supercool!!
Another post modern jukebox is the final countdown and its fantastic
I love watching these reaction videos.... I'm like "I know what's coming, and you don't... you're gonna be blown away, just like I was, and I am gonna sit here and just react to your reaction and I love it"
Haley is... well... she's the queen.
Take a look at the song she did with Dave Damini and No Vacancy Orchestra.... it's called "At least" and you might recognize it, but this version is... very good.
I saw this pop up and said "oh cool"! I haven't even watched yet and I know you loved it! And welcome to a whole 'nother world of music! PMJ is fantastic! LOTS of suggestions to come your way I'm sure! 😊 Off to watch now...
(This is the song that really put PMJ on the map! )
I love it!
now you got to check out Brian Justin Crumbs rendition of Creep on America's Got Talent
Yeah, we all have that reaction when first hearing this. I still drop my jaw.
ALL ABOUT THE BASS, absolutely need to check it out!🥰🥰🥰
Postmodern Jukebox is a awesome rabbit hole.
This cover is what made me a huge fan of Postmodern Jukebox. And Hailey's Black Hole Sun with PMJ is just as good.
Loved watching Hailey coming up on American Idol. She got to third. Love her voice
Not sure how I missed this one - but unquestionably the best cover of this song I've heard. Amazing. Excellent review as always. Rock on my friend.
Haley is AMAZING!!! Her voice is so uniquely her. She got her start on American Idol and her version of Bennie and the Jets is pretty magical. Check out her post modern jukebox version of Black Hole Sun-you will not be disappointed!
Hehe. He just fell--in Love! 😛 Lol. She's Amazing!!!! House of the Rising Sun on Idol got me .... She was so young but she gave me goosebumps even then!!!!! ❤
Even more stunning is the fact she was sick and wanted to go home but they convinced her to give it one shot. She recorded this in one take. Now watch her do "Don't Speak" also with PJB.
DEFINITELY one of the best covers I've heard of this song. You're right about the sultry, sexy thing she's got going on with her breathtakingly beautiful voice! Thanks for turning me on to this!
Her cover of House of the Rising Sun on American Idol is so good!
So happy you did this one!!! Post Modern Jukebox is so much fun, and Haley Reinhart is absolutely something else in this. If you truly want to experience all the good music, check out Chris Stapleton‘s live at the Bing lounge version of “sometimes I cry“. Also Angelina Jordan’s cover of “Bang Bang”.
even her breathing in sounds great. i have watched 100000 reactions to this and always the same. surprise then astonished :) seven nation army by her is a must as well.
I know this is from a while ago but it just popped up on my feed today. I'm so stoked you dipped into Postmodern Jukebox! These are some of the most talented musicians.
Speaking of which, I think you might enjoy Gravity by Sara Bareilles. Chills. And absolutely haunting. She wrote the music and lyrics for "Waitress" which "She Used to Be Mine" (Shoshana Bean❤️) comes from.
Hey you!! Pick up that JAW!! LOL Great reaction!!
That woman has sexiness oozing out of every pore of her body.
What a voice😊
You think that was amazing, try and go see her live someday, ... absolutely phenomenal , shes on a whole nother level. Her idol journey was quite interesting too ... she had a clear edge over other contestants ... yet she was thrown under the bus by the judges almost every time. Anywho, by far, shes one of the best to come outta idol.
Try Seven Nation Army. She also did a Black Hole Sun cover with them. then, after and you crave more, do
"Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra feat. Haley Reinhart - My Baby Just Cares" She's a knock out.
czcams.com/video/3ipXA9lJzc0/video.html
I love this video, have watched it about 50 times, she does other stuff with postmodern jukebox, seven nation army, and all about that bass. should check them out.
All these years and I still can’t comprehend how she lost American Idol. She was my absolute favorite that season, so glad she is so successful.
In retrospect, I am glad she lost so that she didn't get pigeonholed into the AI pop songs
Great reaction. Tnx!
Haley Reinhart is so good! You should check out her American Idol journey. She had some really great performances!
I got this recommended for me, not sure why, but all i wanna say is, i first heard PMJ like 3-4 years ago, listening to them ever since and for the most part, 9/10 times i listen to something new i get same reaction as you - "40 sec in and goosebumps already".
Paulina, the drummer from the warning has a beautiful version of this song too. She's already world class drummer but if you listen to her unique raspy voice while playing the piano, she will blow you away even more
Her cover of Oops i did it again is amazing too
Ive never believed in love at first sight but after watching this performance I think Im in love! lol Truly amazing and phenomenal. Just.....wow.
Casey , who plays bass, was on Idol with Haley. They became fast friends and he does fantastic work with PMJ.
She was runner up to the guy playing bass on this song about 7 or 8 years ago on American Idol, his name is Casey Abrams
Adam Kubota is the bass player on this video. Haley and Casey were on Idol together in 2011l. She was the third-place finisher and he was sixth.
I LOVE the note that she put out where she sang the wrong note until it was the right note. For this music geek, that was awesome.
Would LOVE to see you react to Postmodern Jukebox "All About That Bass". It's AWESOME!
come on man.. just let the dust flow!! trust me, first time i heard this it was life altering. I dont think she really gets the recognition she deserves. shes a powerhouse
Anything from PMJ featuring Haley or Puddles Pity Party (the singing clown) is just absolute gold.
You should go back and watch some of her American Idol performances. Especially Benny and the Jets, and House of the Rising Son. She was a diamond in the rough with more talent than she knew what to do with.
Yup. A tiny bit of polish and she would have had the win
Wow! Honestly, the only reason I checked this one out is because I've enjoyed your PTX videos and boy, am I glad I did! I love the rasp (the dirty tone, if you will) of her voice. And that run from 6:27-6:38... HOT DAMN! She's got some lungs!
Thanks for this one! They're now on my radar and I'll be watching for more reactions from you!
Did I successfully introduce someone to some new music via my channel? That is a HUGE WIN, and one of my MAIN GOALS for this channel! I'm learning about so much good music that is new to me, I am so hopeful that others will find something new that they like here, too! We're spreading love over here! Thank you for rocking with me! 🤘
@@jasenyoface7555 That you did, sir! All the suggestions you've received are spot on. Have no fear, we'll lead you to the best music the world has to offer! It's been a pleasure watching your videos! You're rocking this CZcams thing. I hope you continue even after we're clear of the shelter in place!
So glad I found your channel!! VERY SIMILAR opinions/taste!!! You do you!!!!!
Also Morgan James is another fantastic vocalist who is an absolute must listen.
Dude. This is my first day watching your videos. I have got to say, I LOVE your facial expressions when you react to videos. Thanks for doing what you do.
Jase, I live your channel! Thank you for doing this song by this group! The singer and the group are amazing band I now follow them because of you!
Also, Zombie by Bad Wolves (originally by the cranberries)
PhilipGreenMusic i also like the PMJ cover too.
Like horns? Ya gotta check out "Chicago" . That and you need to find Haley's first improv with Irvin Mayfield. MESMERIZING!
Love this and love Brian Justin Crum's version of this. Fantastic!
You should watch PMJ do "Oops I did it again", also with Haley Reinhart. It was amazing!
As someone who has been in love with her voice for years, she has live versions of this that somehow far surpass this one imo. BUT...highly recommend next checking out her performance of Shook for 102.9 Now....if you want more of that rasp and a lot more of her range. It's an original song of hers, she's in full on rock mode. It's incredible. She also did Light My Fire with Robby Krieger from The Doors which is worth checking out.n
Haley & Bass violin player Casey Abrams were contestants on American Idol same year! Be sure to watchPMJ version “All About That Bass”!! Nice Reaction!!
I know this song. I didn't listen to it for the first time. But Goddam these chills come in a package everytime I hear it.
I wasn't going to subscribe but I noticed that you were reacting to a lot of people I listen to and you really appreciate them. I'm now subscribed.
I loooooove them! thx for the reaction. They are world class.
Welcome to post modern Jukebox! Dive deep.
The Dream On cover by another singer is one I play over and over
Awesome reaction to Haley, I've been a huge fan of hers since she left The Voice. I have a couple of her albums on my laptop which are awesome. Now let's go to Montreal Canada to check out a sibling band called Motion Device, excellent hard rock youngsters who has plenty of talent
interesting fact: before Haley and Brian Justin Crum a young Scott Hoying (PTX) covered it with a friend. The amateur recording is still showing the incredible talent he has and the ability to find others with talent to collaborate with
Omg! Huge DMB fan here! I love your reactions, and look forward to your new vids! Keep going! I think you’re going to go a long way with this! Congrats on your great start!!
I'd love to cover some live DMB sometimes on this channel, but I can't really call it a reaction since I've been to like 10 shows! It's just downright good music though. Wouldn't even know where to start (The Stone is the hottest one for me right now...). Thank you so much for your kind words and for rocking with me 🤘
Jase N Yo Face One of the great things about DMB is that each time they perform a song, pieces of it (if not the whole thing) sound a bit different than the studio version - or even the last time you heard the live version. Ha! It just might be possible to do a reaction or two. Haha!!
Her second best song in my opinion is " Moanin" with Casey Abrams on the American Idol season - also from that season Bennie and the Jets , and then a little known video of her and a small club recorded on someone's phone when she sings imagine by John Lennon. A lot of people are big fans of her version of Seven Nation Army with Postmodern Jukebox as well
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood live at El Mocambo. Its a great jam. Blues. Love your reactions
Haley was on American Idol and House of the Rising Sun and it’s one of my favorite versions of the song check it out if you haven’t yet
Vocally Creep is one of her best performances, but I agree that their take on Seven Nation Army is something special. You should also check our her cover or I Can’t Help Falling In Love. PMJ are masters and everything they do is amazing.
They do Seven Nation Army with Hailey too. And All About that Bass
All of them...watch all of them O.O!
