Its so weird that games need to even be ported, its the same freaking hardware. The differences are so small. The standalone headset market is horrible because of everyone trying to create their own ecosystems.
Google is working on a standard for XR apps on Android. It‘s like installing an APK to a phone, it works on all brands, as long as they run Android. Meta has stated that they do not want to cooperate

Thanks for the video. I have both headsets. Love the MR on quest 3, but other than that, I often find myself preferring the pico 4 due to the fact that it is so much lighter and more comfy, especially laying down watching movies, comparing b/t pico 4 base strap vs quest 3 battery strap. Cant send back the quest 3 because of MR. Wish the pico 5 didnt get cancelled ://////
I also have both headsets and prefer the Quest 3, because it's sharper both in standalone and PCVR. I re-bought a few games in the Meta store and they look quite a bit sharper like Les Milles Body Combat or Ohshape. I'm using a cheap 'AMVR'-headstrap, which isn't called AMVR because it's the no-name version on Ebay and the cotton-covers from VR-cover, because the facial interface material of the Q3 cause my skin to itch and getting red. The sound is much better with the Q3 even compare to my sound-modded version ("Pico 4 passive sound amplifier/enhancer extension" on Cults3D), but I also did a sound-mod to the Q3 (" Meta Quest 3 passive Sound Amplifier/Enhancer") and now it's IMO perfect. The PCVR-quality with Steam Link is very impressive as well and both VD nor Pico Connect can compete.
@@Leynad778 I have made a video comparing Quest 3 with Pico 4.. and for me the biggest dealbreaker are tilted screens braking AA. So no matter the settings all PCVR games do look like running on low resolution/settings because of non working AA filter on Quest.
Not sure what MR games do you guys play.. but I haven't find any good MT titles too. Apart a few 5 min demos.
@@MrTechcatTry Steam Link. The visual quality is better than anything I've seen on the Pico 4.
@@Leynad778 the visual can be better at first few tries, because quest 3 color temperature is brighter (or maybe the screen is actually brighter). However for PCVR, with the same PC specs, same game setting, the perceived increased quality is quite minimal apart from color felt more "popped". On the other hand5s, like OP said, the anti aliasing does not work properly on the Quest 3 due to tilted LCD panel, which drop the perceivable image quality back down.
@@lihl2rvn300I know the difference between visual quality and brightness. The quality with Steam Link is better than anything i've tried with the Pico 4 and there are enough comparison videos around coming to the same conclusion: The Q3 has obviously the better optics and the quicker CPU probably helps with PCVR as well.
It's not a emulator it's a port. Emulator takes original game and loads it into a program memik the real hardware. Port is program code changed to run the original game on other hardware.
By the way the pool is not the real one. The developer of this port has his own poll an you can download it for free from him
Pool results are identical on both telegram groups. Nobody votes for the Asgard's Wrath 2 to be ported.. :D Even it's supposedly the latest game of the year according to all sponsored videos by Meta.
The most requested game is still RE4 which is like 2021 game.. and a lazy port to VR, at best.
Ah, thank you for info. Too bad if it's not an emulator! An emulator would be very cool, would like to kick some expensive Q3-fanboys a*, if Pico4 could run their software. 😂

I tried it but the game is very laggy in my pico 4. A the menu everything seems fine, but when play the game, the boxes very lagging and game over after few seconds..... Any advice how to solve that?😓

Hope there's an app like uevr for original headset to convert all android games into vr like it did on pcvr
you can't convert mobile games because those run on super low resolution on the phone screen which would look bad in VR.
