My old Nutrition professor in college got to the point where she was talking to us like children, doing the whole, "so we're going to drink more water now, riiiiiiiiight?" and even though I was younger at the time, I hated when people talked down to me... So I always made it a point to have a Pibb in the middle of class. Peak "Fuck You" energy was when she started bitching at us for not having a textbook, and I decided to pass the class without buying one. I got a 97%. Eat shit 🤣
Bob, I definitely get your story. My Sophomore year of high school, I ended up section leader of the Trumpet section. That year we had the highest new marcher to old marcher ratio. I had to instruct a bunch of people on one of our hardest shows… with ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE. It was fun, yet very stressful.
I feel Bob in that marching band story. I played second chair flute in the concert band and was also in the marching band, of which was only about 20 students, and my marching band teacher constantly called me out for bs that wasn't my fault, or even had anything to do with me, and it went on for MONTHS. I ended up quitting right before a big adjudication, which was kind of like an exam for both the instructor and the band, and funnily enough me quitting right then made the instructor get a bad review due to the poor performance, a kind of parallel to the bad grades she kept giving me for no reason.
HOH distractable listener here, i appreciate being able to read captions and seeing who’s talking. it’s much easier to follow along and understand and i appreciate it so much! thank you! def earned my sub!
I love Bobs marching band story so much I played tuba as well but my band director wouldn’t let me march with a tuba because unlike Bob, I was a petite 5’3 sophomore, but I was good at that instrument, and I missed it deeply. However the director was a good dude. Until he left and the assistant director stepped up and ruined everything so I left junior year :/
Yo that last bit that Bob explained about idiots on the road in California is SO relatable and true, my mom and I have to put up with idiots like that almost all the time it's ridiculously hilarious. XD Same goes for folks in grocery stores when like someone parks their cart right smack in the middle of the aisle or you wanna grab something really quick and someone is blocking your way, so annoying. X3 That part was really funny to me because it happens with me and my mom too! Lol XD
I was someone who used to be in marching band in high school, and the director would like call sections out, but it would always be constructive and never to the extent of "you guys are the worse" or "section leader you suck" that director sounds terrible, like seriously it sounds like he didn't even have constructive criticism
I worked in this kitchen and they were deciding on head cook. This one asshole put in tons of o.t. to have everything done. always questioned what i did, and he got in trouble for the o.t. and i won. witouth even trying.
"Fuck your dreams, fuck your nightmares, I'm going to beat you"
"As soon as there was oxygen back in my lungs I was pissed off"
This episode reminded me of one of my favorite meme quotes ever made, "The Lion, The Witch and the Audacity of this Bitch."
Ok I don't think I've ever heard of that one but I love it. Lmao
Wade came with the pure, unadulterated, grade A, Grass fed heat on this one 😂

I love that the intro is done by top tier 40k CZcamsr, Baldemort. Sooooooo unexpected and awesome
It’s so nice to know that a few of my favorite CZcamsrs were band kids at one point or another.
15:04 such a quote indeed

46:30 Bob is right, there too many selfish people, we all need to be more selfless
I could listen to this every day
38:09 The glasses breaking was actually symbolic of Wade's rage.
