haha, it's like Scooby-Doo. As a kid I thought it was great but as an adult Shaggy & Scooby were potheads that always wanted or needed snacks and don't get me started on the creepy mystery van. lol

Probably gotta be in your 30's or older for the old looney tunes. Those cartoons were littered with racism, war propaganda, ect. They started to fade away in the 90's somewhere, the old cartoons from the 30's-60's anyway. I think that looney tunes was still around, but cleaned up.
Pepe Le Pew was a skunk that would sexually assault a cat every cartoon. The cat wanted no part of him, and he would force himself on her. That was actually pretty mild for those old cartoons lol.

Good.. another of the old ones explained so I didn't have to. :)
I believe many people just don't know the name but at least have seen the cartoon with the skunk running after a cat.

He was usually going after a black cat that had somehow got paint on her back so she kinda looked like a skunk. He was aggressive and inappropriate either way.

'Sesame Street was lit!". Everybody will say that because we were young. You watched around 2000. I grew up with the original 70s sesame Street and THAT was lit! (Feels weird actually using that word...). I spied it in the 80s, and they were cleaning it up too much! Cookie Monster was changed to Vegetable Monster, or some equally stupid name, they had him rapping (don't make Frank Oz rap, please), and everything was sterilized. If you ever look up the old school Street vids, you'll see ghetto kids playing around rusty metal and broken concrete (and having a good time not knowing), and every kind of genuine funkiness, from songs to animation to skits. Even the Muppets were acting cool. Hell, there was this pusher (yes, that's what he represented), who kept trying to sell Ernie stolen letters. Gritty Brooklyn, gritty Street. The truth is, most people my age who dig the black groove, were taught by Sesame Street. Think about it. Oh! One last thought. Anyone my age will remember "David". He was an extremely amicable black guy who worked in the corner store. I later found out he was schizophrenic and had a penchant for married White women and cocaine. Imagine working on the set with him? Nobody knew, though, until he was arrested while running from a white woman's house, he being totally naked and probably fresh from enjoying himself in that house! Ah...nothing will top the creative potential of the 70s.

Sesame Street was always a mirror of society and the current decade. I don't know nothing about Chappelle's background. However, how you interpret Sesame Street really depends on your personal outlook on life or how you think the world works.

Adults, with all their worldly experience, that spend time judging kid shows, is amusing for adults. I remember several things from sesame street that had nothing to do with pimps or crackheads! It's funny looking back at it with my jaded adult opinion....but back then. Nope it would have been a good place to be

It's not surprising that you've never seen/heard of Pepe Le Pew. The PC police have heavily censored or outright banned all the best cartoons like Looney Tunes. Children's shows have been sterilized and filled to the brim with SJW propaganda. Garbage characters in garbage stories created by garbage writers and garbage animators. It's actually child abuse.
