So when he made a return to campus recently, it was only right to catch up with Head Coach Brad Underwood as the 2021-22 season gets underway-over a plate of death wings, naturally. Coach Underwood is the man Sean is trusting with returning Illinois basketball to its former glory, coming off a season that included 16 conference wins, a Big Ten Tournament championship, and #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. As someone who cares nothing for collegiate sports but still respects and admires the work that coaches do with their teams, this was great. Mad love for them putting this together. It obviously meant a lot to Sean.

As an Illinois alum, so glad that Sean got to interview coach and that he actively wanted to as well. Also full respect to coach for cleaning Da Bomb wing, I get it's a shorter version, but still impressive.

Unexpected, but really enjoyed this episode. Love the connection to Sean’s alma mater. I’m a former collegiate athlete, and coach Underwood powers through the sauces as I’d imagine my coaches would as well. Kudos to coach Underwood for agreeing to come on ... and kudos to Sean and his team for another great interview!

Great to see Sean speaking with Coach. While I'm a diehard UK fan, this team has come back with such a great game and awesome players. Coach has done a wonderful job of turning this team back into a winning family.

I'm so glad I found this! I knew Sean was from the suburbs of Chicago but I did not know he went to U of I. Absolutely loved that he interviewed Underwood! That man has made Illini basketball competitive again and so much fun to watch. Tonight's the sweet 16 and regardless of the result I am proud of those guys and the culture Underwood has created! I-L-L!

This was a great episode and I'm so happy that Sean was able to make this interview happen. You can see in how the hot sauce format really helps humanize Underwood on camera (more noticeable on him than many celebrities). I've been a Hot Ones fan for years, but an Illini fan and alum (CEE '06) for longer. Go Illini Go!
