SINGING BOWL DEMONSTRATION: KATHMANDU, NEPAL (4K)

- During my tour of the Monkey Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal, I was given an interesting demonstration of singing bowls that are not only musical instruments, but are also used for meditation and healing. The shop owner showed me how they work and the bowls do make very soothing sounds. Although many of the singing bowls are known as Tibetan singing bowls because it was originally thought that they came from Tibet, many are actually made in Kathmandu. I enjoyed the demonstration so much, of course I ended up buying a singing bowl!

Yup
This so common in india and Nepal in temples as soon as we enter the temple there will be a bell which makes similar sound that's the reason the old people tell us to ring the bell before you go for praying or meditating in the temple

That's the magic of Hinduism.
Lots of Love from India to our Nepali brothers and sisters❤️
Hinduism?
😂😂
@Respect bhudhism is part of Hinduism..
Isme bhi religion kya re chutiye nai sudharteh tum log
@@SalmanKhan-wn8lp what's wrong in that , won't you guys bring religion into everything.
There's no need to use abusive words.
Hinduism Buddhism Jainism even some part of Sikkism , all have same philosophy and idiology and very very very thin line to differentiate between those ideas.
I guess you think Hinduism is all about multiple gods and Buddhism says that there is only one God,right?? But wrong, Hinduism core principle says there is only one supreme power and everything is just the manifestation of that power, take Vishnu Shiva or any God , they all are just the part of that Supreme power including you me and every other living and non living thing in this universe. Thats why Indian Culture says Namaste which means I bow down to the God within you. That's applies to every damn thing around us ,trees ,stones ,water ,hills ,sun ,moon , animals .... everything. Thats why Hindus pray for multiple forms of the same God.
We don't say our God is the only God and he is only great, we say God is present everywhere even I'm a part of that Supreme power. It's all inclusive.
Hinduism also has people who don't believe in God but definitely believe that some super power maintains this universe ( ask any astrophysicist about this for scientific explanation).
Hindus don't look at that Supreme Power as either man or a woman. It's genderless. Can you give a gender for river , rocks, earth ,sun , Milky way galaxy ?? No right. Need to see the bigger picture of the Universe.
All these bowls sounds the one word ॐ which is very peaceful and powerful word
Proud to be sanatani

As the frequency of the vibration matches the natural frequency, there is a resonance! Beautiful underrated concept
Can be deadly if..
@@bz-winningitall the resonance is harmful interms of physical structures. But i was talkinh about the resonance occured within our body, where not much study has been conducted.
@@surajbhatta5863 exactly what i thought , as a mechanical engineer , resonance is my enemy lol.
I’m curious what if you accidentally get a bowl that vibrates with some organ and causes dysfunction. Can that happen? Someone told me don’t place big singing bowls on the heart due to this.
This is the same concept in Temples aswell

headphones recommended for best results
Takes me back to 11th when i studied and did resonance air column experiment. Tuning fork with different frequencies have different sound and different duration for one hit from rubber cork.
Surprisingly I never realised that this is concept used in temple bells and vessels in this video and they sound relaxing as per their frequency.
As everyone says, Hinduism is way of life and that's why temples have bells with different frequencies and they sound relaxing.
and Christian churches have bells -(and Catholic Christian churches also use them inside the church during religious ceremonies as well as the large bells outside in the steeple. they probably got the idea from Asia.
Thank you for featuring this. Much love from Nepal ❤

The sounds are just too good
I stood inside a huge singing bowl while it was played for me. Crazy , you could feel things vibrate you didn't even know you had.
It doesn't literally heal you like magic but if you really take it in and let the vibration sooth your thoughts away you can find internal healing.. most of our pain comes from mental suffering.. these bowls are so therapeutic to me.. so relaxing.. but let's be realistic about it ❤️
He is being realistic. Speak for yourself. These bowls helped me get into deep states of meditation and can heal u a t a cellular level. Assisting in access to receive information that will blow your mind. With all due respect you have no idea what ur talking about. I’m speaking from experience
sound frequency has been shown to cause a cancer to slow down in some places
It is realistic. It’s science. It’s not just froofy jargon. The vibration ACTUALLY heals our cells. Just like when people are held for random in other countries, sometimes the guerilla groups will use pitches (not enjoyed by the body), played over and over to make the person sick. Educate yourself.
In India we have Bells in every temple which does our sound therapy 🇮🇳❤️
You can find at least a temple in each street of Kathmandu where there is at least a bell.
Feeling so fresh
Thank you so much

I don't believe in any of the alternative medicines or energies but I got to say, these instruments are gorgeous
I have a question for you why is it called alternative medicine when it was used before large companies started mass production of pills surely the modern treatments are the alternative
@@adycreasey5815 It's called that because it's not effective. Not all the conventional meds are effective because big corps have a hand on the pharmaceutical industry and can sell bullshit for curing cancer. But overall science prooved that most of it really works.
I was just saying that even I don't believe in this, I think that bowl is cool anyways
Tanoa i don’t know how can you not believe in it when it is proved that some of them had real effects? i’m genuinely askin
@@adycreasey5815 its alternative now because it isnt your go to medicine. Paracetamol works faster for headaches than this, even tho this actually works. The ones which work the best aka pills like ones which can numb your pains totally are considered conventional ones
Now u can think why there is always bell in starting of temple bcz that sound of temple produces vibrates which gives us positive vibes..Today's scientists can't answer this .many things which you think that just ritual is for our good which have correct science but people are more willing to do things on the name of God rather than on name of science. So these rituals are designed
