As if 600+ horsepower wasn’t enough, we slapped some zoomies on her and a droop to make the rooster tail fly! When I was a kid in the mid-'70s my parents and a couple of their friends had jet boats. One of our friends' boats was a competition boat with numbers and painted red, white and blue. They called it Rump Buster because there was no padding on the seats to save weight. I got to ride in it a couple times and will always remember the spun aluminum fuel tanks tucked under the gunnels, the anodized AN fittings, braided fuel lines, chrome headers coming up from the engine. We had a lot of fun on the Pot Holes Reservoir and Columbia River in Eastern Washington.
I grew up on the Columbia, stick to the lakes theses days but still have the same boat we had out there in the 80’s. We are on lake billy chinook most the summer.

I remember, back in the 70s, there was a very successful Avenger drag boat, named The Devil.
Guy named Don Dameron drove it.
Very influential in the early days of jet boat development.

So very cool , reminds me of Drag boat races , Fanshawe Park , London Ontario Ca. They had jet boats to prop. Blown 900 cu Donavan & the odd Keith Black engines. Awesome technology, then & now …Cool to see young motivated people coming together with great coordination. Nice event here 🇨🇦😊🇺🇸

What year is the Avenger, I have a 1984 with a 454 Jet Drive.
How hard would it be to put a Mercedes 606 turbo diesel in some type of jet boat with a double Universal direct me to the crank and directly to the jet pump what's some type of adapter

I have the bbc CB Avenger bubble deck ..I take it to Camp Far West Father's Day every year.. it has a nice stereo , Bimini top Full interior, (family truckster) under transom lightning exhaust all motor pump gas and after about four races I noticed all the boats leave...lol...sleeper.... the hulls r FAST...750 hp gets u 95mph @ 6200 rpm
