It actually sounds like its about a female scientist who is trying to find a cure for a virus and is slowly falling in love with the guy who has the virus but doesn't succeed

From the lyrics it tells a story of a person who is searching for a cure but slowly falls in love with the person sick, and I guess it could be the guy who's really trying to find the cure but its a bit skewed so its hard to know because in songs like these its very difficult to tell what they really mean.
