      So true hey!?
I'm testing the waters. Some girl I met online and went on a date with sent me this book a few days ago. I just got it, and wanted to see what Liz is about. These interviews and interviewees made me quite sick. I'm sure Liz means well to bridge the gap towards men, but is she just pigeon holing men into her prescription of what masculinity should be? Really? "One of these guys says masculinity is the root of evil, damn near?" That is the simpiest shit I've ever heard. The fact that she doesn't even challenge that thought, it made me question her real love for men and their struggles. Masculinity will continue to perform and we will all get to see it on display as the worlds economy collapses. You will all see what healthy masculinity will do for nations, as well as unhealthy. These past few decades, it's been pushed aside and neglected, but times will soon show what healthy men can do when they rise up for the love of those around them. Just like the great depression, and the world wars. There are unwavering virtuous men out there, with a passion to see righteousness and equality. The current times aren't calling on such men, so continue to interview gender fluid men on the urban streets, holding their extra whip Frappuccino's with their impotent wrists, and ask them what their opinion is on such matters :P

Exactly. To her I ask, do you understand how stats work (no because you "studied" gender "studies")? If men are less likely to wear masks according to a tiny sample of 2000, then that means very large numbers of men wear masks; very large numbers of women do NOT wear masks, but somewhat more men do not wear masks.
Do you understand what confirmation bias is (no because you "studied" gender "studies") why do you keep interviewing gay men, trans men.... obviously this will give you a highly biased sample as these are men who are struggling with gender identity and social norms. Thats like going slap bang into the repblican convention and asking 10 people about their view of society thinking that will give a representive sample.
Also blaming masculinity for everything you can think of even really random phenomemenan is stupid insread of the 200 other things going on, class, race, poverty, education level, and so on
Finally feminisms level of femisplaining is epic. I don't do identity politics, I dont care if youre a woman talking about men, thats fine... however you are an IDEALOGUE, someone possessed talking about men, and more to the point, you do belive in identity politics and stupid things like mansplainig, so what they hell are you doing femsplaining masculinity?

We differ on that one. I don't think a life well lived depends on its duration. It depends on what you do today to make your limited time worth a damn. The hardest part is knowing how to make your life worth it. To some it comes naturally, to others it takes a lifetime.

What’s hard about being a man?
Well the burden of performance is on men. Women can sit around and expect to be taken care of.
There are no special programs for men only that use tax revenues(men pay the majority of taxes) to give men help with anything in life.
There are no hiring preferences, scholarships, or grants for business for men only.
Men are overwhelmingly denied custody of their children in a divorce yet parenting time for the father is never enforced. Only child$upport and Alimony are enforced and men are overwhelmingly the ones forced to pay those.
Men’s rights are contingent on them meeting their responsibilities and duties. Women get rights free of any responsibility.
Men are seen as disposable by society because we are the ones physically capable of doing the hard, dangerous, and dirty jobs that keep civilization running.
And the last thing I will speak of that is so hard about being a man is that the cancer of feminism concentrates so heavily on the men at the very top of the hierarchy and gaining unearned power that average men don’t even exist to women. The girl power enthusiasts want to be CEOs not coal miners.

I can see exceptions with mothers and grandmothers toward their own young boys growing up, but I cannot see beyond that.

You are 100% correct John. Women are incapable of caring about men’s insecurities and pain. They viscerally and reflexively lose respect for you the moment you let your guard down. They may not say it, they may not leave you, but their behavior changes. Mothers are the one and only sure fire exception. In a healthy family of course. Not all moms are good moms, but a mothers love for her son is often unconditional. You shared a body for 9 months and she raised you from a pup, and you should always be good enough for her. My mother has always been there for me. You can make the argument for sisters and grandmothers to a lesser extent, but I never had a sister and my grandmother was not a good person. My mother was the only women who ever loved me at my lowest

I dunno, a lot of decent, heterosexual women, are so terrified by all of the fake statistics, and are SO USED to guys like these being allegedly "normal", that when they encounter healthy, decent, natural, protective, honest, providing, assertive, and logical males, they think there's something wrong with them; they assume it's "toxic masculinity", when we all know there's nothing more toxic than male feminists.
EVERY true male feminist is a man who's deeply misogynistic, which is why they become male feminists. It's a way to feel "normal" by believing that "everybody objectifies and exploits women" (which is the opposite of true), then repenting for their sins, and getting better at being around (the wrong) women at the same time. Knowing that, is it any wonder why so many male feminists are rapists, stalkers, and domestic abusers?
