I've had mine for five years and it's only made Fruit once. I have lots of pollinators around it hopefully this year will be better as it is now making flowers😢

Your tree looks very healthy. I would thin to only one per cluster because of the risk of codling moth infestation. These moths lay their eggs where the apples are crowded together to keep their eggs safe from predators! The larvae are the worms that apples get. Try waiting until October for sweetest Fujis, and thin within a month of fruit set to get the juiciest finished apples

Amazing , I am in zone 9a/9b . Could you please share where you bought this dwarf variety of Fuji tree? Also many places it says its not self pollinating , do you have two of them or only 1 works?

I bought this and planted it in 2020. I do not have another apple tree nearby and it’s done very well.

Thank you so much for replying . I just went and bought an ultra dwarf Fuji tree. I will be planting in my backyard just like yours . I have one question though , do you know how far from fence do I need to dig (2 feet or 4feet or anything else ) and the spacing between other tree like lemon etc ?

Hi, I also have a Fuji apple tree and to my understanding they do need a pollinator. I have a Gala apple tree to pollinate mine. It’s possible a neighbor of yours may have an apple tree that’s compatible with your Fuji tree. It’s recommended that an apple tree pollinator be at least within 100 feet. Of course, pollinating insects can fly far beyond that distance. :)

I have( 2) 15 yr old Fuji apples20+ ft tall they produce a lot of fruits which drop full of holes, rotten, and black I try to thin it but tree is too big I think I'm not pruning it enough plus 1 golden delicious 12 yrs old 20 ft tall doesn't produce much and full of holes from bugs with worms I think they are a moth apple trees are high maintenance to get large fruits thinning, pruning, etc.

What you are doing is just destroying a good harvest. Otherwise we should also be thinning grapes and all the berries that grow in clusters. What you need is good fertile soils so that plant can produce more fruits.

What she did was a good thing . Some of those apples weren’t gonna grow and dying so we’re only in the way .
