Hi Bret, great to see some Swedish artist here 😊That Robyn album is great (and the album that came after that; Body Talk), have it only on CD though. Another album that I want to have on vinyl is the BBC session with Sisters. Didn’t catch it on RSD and now it is of course very hard to get without paying a lot of money for it. But I have the Blind Mr. Jones album (the original, with the different cover) on vinyl and the second (and last one with them) on vinyl as well. A very underrated shoegaze band. I really like the integration with the flute and the guitars. And great to see that t.A.T.u album. I had almost forgotten them, but l used to listen a lot to them around 2002-2003. Didn’t know that the album had been released on vinyl. Have to track it down. Cheers. // Pelle
Right on! Body Talk is such a great album. I remember that getting an RSD release back in 2019, but unfortunately missed out on it. Very cool you have the original Stereo Musicale. I ended up getting Tatooine back last year, along with a bunch of other great stuff: czcams.com/video/OOvFMVwCQcQ/video.html
Ah yes... t.A.T.U - so much fun! Glad to hear you enjoy them as well. Thanks for watching! - Bret
Wow dude vey cool. I have that Blind mr J on cd actually as I don't collect records any more. Derek Higgins actually mentioned that one on his channel a few yrs back. It's quite good. Not as dreamy as say Slowdive or The Bo Radleys but...and I don't how I missed "And only the... " after almost 40 yrs of being into the big haired semi underground english bands. That's a great one. I need to find that on cd! Nice selections...Gram was great. Nothing like that 1st Burritos release. Question.. is that a Red House Painters album up top over your left shoulder??
I think you're referring to the Pale Saints record --- close! ----same label. :)
Hi Bret , thanks for the shoutout! Your video reminded me that I had missed out on the Love Spit Love release. When it came out here it was pretty expensive so I passed , ive just ordered a copy for £19.95 (sealed)........sometimes it pays to wait. Is there anything on this year's UK list that you are after. BTW the Bill Fay reissue is already a £70 record in the UK although i see it is cheaper elsewhere in Europe-----
Thanks John! Glad you were able to grab the Love Spit Love now at an affordable price. There are a couple of titles on the UK list that we're interested in... one of them being the Tears for Fears b-sides comp. We'll have to caucus as RSD time draws near and see what you're looking for from here. I reckon Dream Pop Jesse is already scoping some UK stuff out as well? :)
yea he's already mentioned about 8 items he's after. I'm not sure which were UK items and which were US. As you say let's compare notes nearer the date
My personal favorite RSD find wasn't actually *on* a RSD. I'd been trying to grab a copy of REM's Chronic Town but the only ones I could find were originals going for a good chunk of cash. A local record place near me had some left over RSD reprints on sale, months later. They mostly specialize in punk, so it's no surprise it didn't sell out.
Hey Jesse, thanks for watching. Great you were able to find a copy of Chronic Town! "Gardening at Night" is a favorite.
My favorite RSD release is Ministry's Trax! Box from 2015. Thankfully they reissued it and dropped the price. One of my favorite box sets of all time.
Very cool! I imagine it's worth it for the With Sympathy demos and that early live show alone.
My favorite was in 2014 the glow in the dark Ray Parker junior ghostbusters theme.
That TATU is stellar. the Smiths cover is amazing. But i must say Gram Parsons in Country? Really? cool list here though.
