    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  Před 11 měsíci

      Yes! You would simply delete the plate and run the appropriate dssr and our solid shifter. We do highly recommend changing out your selector joint as well since it's most likely worn out and would introduce play even with your new solid shifter setup.

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@ariss_00 Using a sanding drum on a dremel/rotary tool is a good way to remove material from the trans tunnel hole. You only need to make enough space for the bolts to go through and mount the shifter. Nope. Cannot stand super long shift stalks. They look as horrible as the new gigantic grills on the latest BMW 4 series. I actually hate them as ALMOST as much as Donald Trump himself.

    Can you guys do a video on the shifter plate Getrag 260 instead of the carrier Getrag 260

      When installing our Solid Mount Shifter in an E30 equipped with a shifter plate, the same steps will apply. You will be getting rid of the shifter plate just as you would with the shifter carrier 👍
      If you intend on using a DSSR, you may need to change the selector joint with a late model style or our Billet Aluminum Selector Joint as some earlier style selector joints are too wide to fit with a DSSR.
      Hope this answers your question but if not, shoot us an email over at support@garagistic.com!

    I have a shifter plate instead of a carrier assembly will this work on a shifter plate Getrag?

      Yes! You would simply delete the plate and run the appropriate dssr and our solid shifter. We do highly recommend changing out your selector joint as well since it's most likely worn out and would introduce play even with your new solid shifter setup.
      We offer a few different types depending on your transmission/car!
