We should be further ahead but we are slowly getting there. The next big project is every single Jamaican should have water in their home. Road development, water, and light , if everybody has these amenities the growth will come. Bless up my island home sweet sweet Jamaica. Bless up everybody from the western Jamaica.

At least you have something to show, and I see we are brainwashed by the west(our slave masters) as no one seems to complain regarding the IMF in past decades, in which all the government did was corruption and there was nothing too tangible. Should we go back to the IMF, are should we follow a path that showing progress.

It is a great improvement over what was there back in the day when I used to travel this B8 highway constantly going to Sav, either from MoBay or some point in Hanover. Once the Long Hill Bypass to Montpelier is complete, it should tie in nicely to this highway. If the foot-dragging on the Lucea Bypass continues, might even make this route faster to Negril. Just wish along with this improvement some attention would be paid to the inner roads connecting to these main road improvements. Right at the mentioned Mackfield was a time-saving shortcut that I and many others used to get to places in Hanover like Hopewell or Cold Spring/Great Valley/Pondside, even Cascade, via Mt Peto/Gurneys Mount. That road I am now told is so bad, that only persons who have no choice struggle along with it. 6:05 in the video sort of highlights the issue of how other roads get left behind with improvement.

That's why Jamaica had toPp go back to the IMF. Audrey Shaw knew the country was bankrupt but didn't. Want to go to the IMF. The debt to GDP ratio was almost 150. FYI that means every dollar the govern takes in they were spending $1.50 When the PNP leave it was 120

I know I asked before I just wanted to be certain. Because I guess this is yet another road project aside from the Junction road job? Also I notice you had to blow your horn at some kids.
Did I see wrong because that is a disaster waiting to happen. How can they be swimming so close to the highway? Seem like they need to Fence that off and keep the kids off the road.

The country is not ass small as its perimtre.its got many mountains and that triples its travel distance..
For the simple minded. Jamaican borders is 254.000
Square kms.of land and sea. Just the main island is 10.900.00
Sq.kms big.multiply that by 25.and thats jamaicas land and sea borders. Without counting its mountains.distant

It is very nice to see these new and improved road ways across the island. I think the next move is re-education on road safety and driver education in Jamaica. I have seen many reckless and out-right callous driving behaviors in Jamaica. Last year, I was driving to Negril from Mandeville with my kids. Some sections of the road were very bad and tricky to navigate. What I experience(nothing new) were drivers that would consistently speed and overtake in dangerous locations like: with un-coming vehicles and around corners. What was most appalling is; that many of these bad drivings were being done by drivers of passenger vehicles(buses/Taxis). I was on a section of road close to Blackriver, and this idiot sped up and squeezed between me and a bus, just to over take me... The guy ended up stopping at a shop less than half mile later. No one has any patience anymore or respect for others on the road. Disclaimer, these practices are not unique to Jamaica, but I love my people and these things need to stop. keep up the road improvements.
