Your channel was recommended to me last week and ever since I have been hooked. I used to play yugioh back in early 2000's then just kinda stopped. ever since I saw your videos I started playing master duel and im gonna get back into the trading cards as well :D
Still got a lot to learn though, I only watched the original yugioh, so Im still getting to grips with all the other types of cards from different yugioh's pmsl. But i will keep using your videos to learn as much as I can :)

Just some tips to get back in, as I've been in the same shoes some time ago:
First of all, if you want to get back into the trading cards, to not spend too much money: Stay away from Booster Packs for now and go for Structure Decks instead as they give you a play ready deck and also get you some good staple cards that can be used in any deck. Especially the Structure Decks this year gave some great staples and also nice themes and you can build a nice deck out of 3 copies of a Structure Deck that can win a game or two.
Second: Don't worry if you can't beat most of the players, as they have a several year advantage and are familiar with most mechanics of the game. Have some fun first and get familiar with the summoning conditions, rulings etc.
Later on if you still like to play, build your own deck with your ideas that you like the most. Here's where Cardmarket comes in, where you can buy single cards for their actual trade value. You can sell cards there as well of course. Some particular Decks can get pretty expensive, that's why Structure Decks should be best for now.
And third: If you get otk'd ( one Turn killed ) or ftk'd ( first Turn killed), don't worry, it should have happened to most people a couple of times. This is were videos like Sam's come in, as he knows the game very well, but also check some other channels maybe for more of a variety of decks and strategies. His collabs with Seereax and others are always hilarious and fun and that's the only thing you should have at first, fun!

Yes it's important to welcome people back into the game and give a little advice as it's so much different than in the early days. But once you get back and understand the new things, you can really have a lot of fun.
Also one thing I forgot to mention: Maybe try out a Yu-Gi-Oh simulator like YGO Omega which also runs on phones. There you have the updated card pool with all cards currently released unlike in Master Duel and create every deck and try out all sorts of ideas.
This would be a good way to see which deck you like and also how effects and such work.
Anyways, I hope you have a great time and always feel free to ask, usually people answer questions especially when you just got back into the game.

@@nastyfied7188 heat doesn't show up really during the first turn combo using link monsters while setting up 3 mathmech in the GY. I think you'd have build around heat using math rather than throwing heat into math. Needs more testing but it wasn't fluid throwing it in

Yep. You know a person doesn't have much experience with the deck when they not only use salamangreat almiraj but also only put two spinnies. He is also for some reason using pot of desires(or what I personally call it,the pot of banishing important cards) all the while having a 43 card deck without even using crossout designator which can actually cover for one of this deck's greatest weakness which is nibiru. He also doesn't have two copies of sunlight wolf which can allow you to get out salamangreat roar if you reincarnation link summon him(he is also really good because he can recycle ash blossom), oh wait he doesn't even have roar in the deck despite the deck having a *43* card deck. I would genuinely not mind this much but then he proceeds to say that this is the best version.

I've been playing on master duel with dragons. Blues are my main, but I use xyz dragons. I'm trying to figure out the best way to use them any help. (Galaxy cipher dragons plus the number dragons.

I donât think this is a good deck for pot of desires. Pot of avarice is a great card for this deck tho! It tops up your deck with 5 monsters from GY and you draw 2, this easily achievable turn 1 with this deck
Also with this deck you want to use Lady Debug or Cynet Mining to get your Micro Coder so that you can search Cynet Codec.
Pot of avarice and jar of avarice are the cards Iâm using for code talkers and they are amazing for the deck
