Must be a ginger thing. My beard is dense (yet scraggly because I'm always having to wash it due to getting dirt and grease in it from work). It's a blessing and a curse. Can quickly go from decent looking to wild untamed beast.

Think I actually preferred it at the start. Don't really like the sharp/straight lines look, esp with a ginger beard which I think benefits from a rougher look. Still, a bloody good trim. Hard to improve upon perfection though. I have a ginger beard too and get a ton of compliments but only the person with the beard knows where their beard flaws lie and hence know how to conceal them (I usually wear dark shirts, for example, which gives my beard the appearance of being denser). This beard, however, has absolutely no flaws. The density is the same all the way through which is amazing. First time I've felt envious of a beard in a good while.

He said that he didn't had his beard cut in 4 or 5 weeks. Well but at this length one must wait 6 or more, depending on the hair style, to get a maintenance cut IMO. You can see it already looks nice even before the cut. I mean, he could've got rid of the strays at home if he wanted as most of the work was done on his neck. But I guess it's OK since he's going for the super sharp square style.
You should be advising him to grow the mustache out!!
