It is hard to imagine that just one year ago Tones And I played on the streets of Byron Bay. Today the Australian artist plays at major festivals around the globe and her song "Dance Monkey" tops the charts in many countries. In our interview she talks about how a single evening in Byron Bay made her write "Dance Monkey", what's behind the music video and how she deals with the overwhelming success.

@@tiapet6882 I guess it's to maintain a level of quality. I study in Dublin and Grafton Street is always a popular spot for buskers. It's really nice when you're walking down the street and hear a great singer (such as Allie Sherlock who was on Ellen). If there were no licenses anyone could set up on the street regardless of how good they are. This could become very annoying then for the average person

I always got like a "puppet show" kind of feeling from that song! Just listening to the lyrics you can hear the silent rage behind it, especially in the stripped back version! Great song and tune really.
She's so humble. I also appreciate that she doesn't hold on to things for to long. She understands that life happens and you move on. Whatever it is is still there but it doesn't define you.
