Janet, the Mount Olives is a wonderful place to go. I was there less than 2 months ago..... "Without slipper" ??? Do you mean barefooted? I have problems with my feet. It sounds very painful to me. You know, I would say this, after having gone to Israel, I would say that anyone would "feel" the Spirit of the Lord more in reading the Bible, because was inspired "God-Breathed" by God through the Holy Spirit. If you read the Scriptures, you will know God!!! and these videos can give a geographical feel to the Scriptures, but they never replace the Scriptures. As crazy as this sounds but I enjoy my trip to Israel more, afterwards then when I was there. Maybe because I was very weak from pneumonia 2 weeks before. :-)
Wow, I lived in Florida for 37 years. You know if you are 17 years old and you want to go to Israel. It will cost about $3000. Take that over a 5 year span and you'll get to $600/year. Which is $50/month.... Can you make $50/month and save it? Maybe mow a yard and clean it, once a month, then in 5 years you can go.... :-) Going to Israel will not get you closer to God. Reading God's Word the Bible, first of placing your trust in Christ as your Saviour, and then obeying God's Word will get you closer to God. Going to Israel will get you more of a geographical understanding. BTW, don't go in February.... Jerusalem was very cold for me.... Especially, because you're from Florida. :-)

It doesn't take much, just a prayer of Salvation where you confess that He is Lord over your life and believe in your heart that his salvation is yours also. Then live everyday remembering this and reading/listening to the bible/teachings of the scriptures, mingling with other people who are living for Christ also. It's the simplest, most peaceful, yet most significant decision ever made by a human being and will continue to be.
