I think of the spiritual realm as a 4D realm where we live in a 3D world.. and then God can be wherever in the 3D space he pleases to be. Demons and all those are real too, but if you hold God near they can't do much to you at all. There's really cool testimonies online I'd recommend watching those.

I have a lot of faith, but not into a book.
And as a third point... Imagine we would have a nuclear war tomorrow and modern civilization would stop existing. No computers and no books, we would be cavemen again. If there is no bible, how would they ever learn about "God's word"? Even I who is not a God can think of a thousand better ways to communicate than the God of the bible... I would have written my words into people's minds or all across the sky and would have given every human the natural ability to read it. And then I would have written it over the entire moon and with the stars so that no one could ever doubt it. So much confusion and suffering, just because God has supposedly chosen to communicate through a book...

It made sense to me because of a passage that says that the earth is screaming and in Eden when the earth is cursed....it could be figurative tough. And that's how I perceived it. But I'm waiting to know were they got this from to make a full decision if I should believe or not.

Modern Christianity's biggest downfall is moving away from the spiritual/soulful part of the Bible. We're souls with a body instead of a body with a soul. Prayer isn't suppose to be " Oh lord thanks for this food I'm hungry let's eat amen". Prayer/meditation along with reading the Bible is suppose to realign your soul/spirit with God. Through prayer you need to fulfill your spirit. The Bible talks about how important spiritual aspects of God/Jesus really are.

I'd be careful. This sounds like Gnosticism. God created our bodies in the beginning and called them "very good," and we will exist in eternity with heavenly bodies. We were meant to have a physical body, God gave it to us as a gift, and we shouldn't be separated from it (another horrifying part of death). We are both bodies and souls, unlike the spiritual beings and unlike the animals, we are a sort of amphibian inhabiting both material and spiritual.

Modern Christianity's downfall is the ever increasing scientific understanding of the universe by people who have long gotten rid of the mental prison that is old fairy tale religions.
I think the biggest downfall of Christianity is also their move away from Judiasm, the Torah and G-d's calendar, and their underlying theology that Christians replaced Israel as G-ds chosen people. Yeshua is God, Spirit and man, but He is a JEWISH man lol :)

Amen. It is easy to turn from the truth with this stuff, but God doesn't want us to turn away from that risk; he wants us to lean harder in to him and ask him for help with weighing it all against his word.

What do you think about beings encountered while on psychedelic drugs?
It is common for people to encounter snakes while under the influence of Ayahuasca for example.
@@mathewhill5556 personally, drugs are in a unique position. Some are truly mind opening experiences, but when the mindscape is open to a plane of reality beyond the physical, the metaphysical, its an exposure. So when people see things, I tend to wonder how much is imagination and how much of it is real. Perhaps many Elohim are truly exposed there, hence why people "see things" on these "trips." Depends on the drug and the amount consumed/inserted into the person.
@@LPTV84 I have had a number of visionary mystical experiences both without drugs, and induced exogenously with drugs. I agree that these experiences are an exposure that carry concomitant dangers. Often times encountering danger is exactly what a person needs to grow.

Man I ponder on that passage all the time. It's cool just saying it out loud to myself. It's like a timeless opening sentence to an epic movie and yet, it's the root of the story of my faith.
The 'God' video really brings out Jesus as God.

It’s honestly really refreshing seeing this comment section and the video. It really validates my curiosity to life and my spirituality and experiences. In society these things are ignored and viewed as “crazy” or not science based reality but people don’t like the idea of the mysterious unknowns to our world. People’s fear and ignorance is what holds us back to really fully understanding the truth or even excepting the fact these things exist. There’s so many things that we to this day don’t know and maybe never will in our lifetime but that doesn’t mean these things aren’t real. I think of it as love. Love is an emotion we can feel on a deep level, we know it’s there but we cannot physically see it and that’s how I interpret these ideas and realities. I wish everyone best in their discovery of life and always stay curious and do your research. Don’t feel compelled to follow the controlled tracks of society.

Even though I am an atheist (Started as a devout Christian), I have been binge watching these videos. They are very informative and bring new perspectives to Christianity a lot of people don't think about. Even if you are an atheist, I believe you should always look into different religions and learn as much as you can about them

Try giving the accompanying podcast a listen. It'll go through scripture. Videos are meant to scratch the surface. The podcast on this topic is broken up into multiple hours. It's a deep dive, but a worthwhile listen if you're interested in the topic :)
They are trying to tell it as simplified stories for clarity without clogging it with scriptural references for basic understanding. These videos are not meant to replace bible study but to draw you to it. It’s also made this way so that atheist and unbelievers would grasp the intent/meaning of the Bible without first of all questioning the authenticity of the scripture.

Eden is a high mountain garden?
Yep. This idea surprised me too when I first encountered it (in the work of Jon Levenson, “Sinai and Zion”), but I then discovered it was all over the Bible, and noticed by Jewish and Christian readers for thousands of years. So, where in the Bible is Eden described this way?
(1) In Genesis 2:8-14, we read of Eden as a region in which God plants a garden, and a single river flows out of the garden and then splits into four “heads.” This detail is actually quite explicit: Eden is the source of the rivers of the earth; water flows downhill, which means clearly that Eden is atop a high place.
(2) In the prophets, Mount Zion (= Jerusalem/the temple) is consistently described on analogy with Eden.
(a) Ezekiel 28:13-14 recalls “Eden, the garden of God” as “the holy mountain of God;”
(b) Joel 2:1-3 “Zion…my holy mountain” and its surrounding land is described as “like the garden of Eden.”
(3) When later biblical author envision the new Jerusalem mountain, they describe it in Eden-imagery: Isaiah 11:1-9 The messianic king will rule in the new Jerusalem, where the animals will be peace (as in Eden), “they will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain” (11:9); Ezekiel 40:1-2, Ezekiel sees the new Jerusalem which is “on a very high mountain,” and in Ezekiel 47 the temple has a new Eden-river pouring out its doors, bringing life to the new creation; Revelation 21-22 The new heavens and earth is also a new temple and a new Jerusalem (see 21:1-3) which is placed “on a high mountain” (21:10), and which is described in explicit Eden imagery (22:1-2): the river of life, tree of life, etc.
As with all ideas in the Bible, themes are usually introduced in subtle and creative ways that will be developed and made more clear throughout the storyline of the Bible. This means that later recollections of a theme (Eden = high mountain in the prophets) are just as important as the first, often subtle, introduction of a theme (Eden as the source of the rivers of the earth). This is what our “Bible as Jewish Meditation Literature” is all about. Eden as the divine 'heaven and earth' mountain temple is fundamental to the coherence of the biblical storyline, and Babylon represents any and all human attempts to get the "Eden" blessing without having to trust God's wisdom.

This viewpoint on spiritual beings works well with the bizarre things we hear in Gen 6, flood theory, and "godhood of man" concepts. Very cool!

I've watched every episode of your God series on your podcast and how you guys unravel and categories the spiritual beings and the assumed reality of the spiritual world in the biblical story! I really love to get to see the animation that plays into that 20 or so hour series! You guys have given me such a better understanding and love of biblical writing.

The humans were made in Gods image (Gen. 1:26) They were NEVER lowly until they sinned. They were made perfect :)
God did not really cast humans out of Eden because they disobeyed. On Genesis 3: 22-24, It's clear that God is just trying to avoid man from eating from the Tree of Life since man already has knowledge of good and evil. The Tree of Life has the power to extend man's life span in a tremendous way, Noah or Abraham for example who lived about 900 years as per the Bible. God bless you all.
