Ta Maria Cave - Qarraba Bay Gnejna Malta by kayak

Today I will launch my Riot Edge 11 kayak from Gnejna Bay and paddle out to explore Ta' Marija Cave. Sea conditions were not ideal and weather forcast from Windfinder was totally off, cause it was predictaed Wind Force 1 and swell 20cm !!!! Unfortuatly I could not make my way inside the cave but non the less the view was inpressive, Then paddled to Qarraba Bay, surrounded by dark grey clay cliffs and from here after a short break I headed back to shore.

Thanks Pierre, that's a nice vlog with lot of views to see especially that uncommon geological structure at that part of the island. Well, it was a wise decision not to go on with your visit to Ta' Marija Cave. I am very sure you will make it another time and we can all enjoy that visit with you. 😎 ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL & ENJOYABLE KAYAKING VLOG 🛶 🌊 ☀ 🎥👏.
The coastline looks much more scenic and beautiful from sea level. Pierre, hope you'll be able to show us the cave on another 'safe calm sea' occasion 🙏. It's wise not to take risks. As we Maltese say "The sea has a soft belly, but a hard head"
(What a shame that 'fast' speed boat didn't hit a rip wave 🌊 and turned it upside down - that will a lesson☺ ).

Walked for hours all along that top part of the cliffs above santa Maria cave and never found a way down, i agree its a dangerous area and never worth talking chases, well done

Thanks Steve, when i saw it from below i realised in what dangerous i was it, I think i was only 5m from the edge !

I did manage to walk down to Maria cave from gnejna, it is definitely difficult but i went down to the water line before the cliffs just where the clay ends

@@adrian.attard yes I have that day fix in my head, it was very hot with dark low clouds, I got completely lost, and slipped , but still survived to tell the tale , 🤣🤣

@@EnglishmaninMalta I just went once and was determined to get there but the way i choose was totally wrong, still remember getting down that clay slope until i was on top of the caves. Was really scary
