Honestly, for me, Motley Crue died in 2014 when they announced "The Final Tour". I knew it was bullshit right away. And they made such a big stink about it, to the point where they are eating crow. The last tour I saw was the Carnival Of Sins tour, and I knew that they would never be able to top that tour. I mean everything they put into the show was epic, Vince actually sounded great, better than he did on the New Tattoo tour. There's no way in hell that I would waste my money on anything new that they do. I'm not gonna buy a ticket to one of their fake ass shows. I'm not interested in buying singles, I've always been a albums guy. RIP: Motley Crue, you sold out to corporate greed long ago.

Dr Feelgood Album era was the last bit of Great Crue. The process of breaking up, getting back together, best of albums and honestly albums that just never rang like their first five, was the beginning of the end. It's sad to see the drive for $$$ to keep the machine running even with obvious performance flaws.
Motley Crue is a fantastic band.They are a very criminally underrated group 🎉🎉

The entire vocals are pre recorded! It’s how dogs of war would sound vocally if they did not run Vince’s vocals though auto tune & other computer programs! Hell, I would not be at all surprised if the vocals on dogs of war are not 100% AI!

This band literally has a second life to just print money in 2024 if Vince just hunkered down and tried to get better. So many bands from the 80s and 90s and just thriving now with a new fanbase. Otherwise, they will never be on the international radar. They seem content to just roll on as-is.

i dont agree, they do add reverb and delays to their mics, he hit it at 1:03 but when he takes his lips away and you can still hear him, its's just a little reverb action, i don't know? I keep watching it and it seems live, that is for sure not the audio from the album, maybe i don't want to believe it

I say this in all seriousness. It almost seems like Vince had a small stroke or something since 2019ish. He just doesn't seem all there mentally since they started touring again in 2021. His singing was never amazing, but he just does really weird things with his vocal phrasing that I haven't heard in the past. I can't put my finger on how to explain it.
Also, he does zero crowd interaction at all. Which is what made Crue shows fun, even in 2014-2018 when he was still clearly phoning it in. Idk.

To set it straight. Vince isn't faking. It's not recorded vocals but enhancement. All of his cracks in some parts are real, he's not lip synching but there is an enhancement to his vocals in certain parts especially the high notes

i hear his real voice and backing vocal track, this is better than him just fucking failing at the notes. and other than one part with the bassist, they seem to be playing their instruments. so improvement is here.
They played it 17 times in 2015. Not first time since 2014.

its funny how people think its lip synced....um a delay has a predelay that goes 6 sec (or whatever they set it at) to sense the note and create a delay to tail the word out. He only stops singing as the word keeps going to fill out the sound and weak ends he has to words right now. He sounds a lot better than previous vids we all have seen. Going back to old songs is good he is more controlled.

I get it john5 was a fan of motley crue. Many people are. But man he is lowering his skills to be their guitarist. He was so much talent and could be in much better bands. Im glad i saw him earlier this year in Lititz, pa. I feel like if vince geacefully bowed out and they got a fresh, young singer, theyd be alot better live and be more motivated
He won’t be with Crue long term, and it’ll look good on his resume to have been Crue’s lead. Crue is a brand.

There's one pre-recorded vocal part to maintain the integrity of the song.
Vince is old. I'm getting there and can relate to some of the difficulties he's working through. I'd need a damn auto-cue to remember all the lyrics too. Because I lived and continue to live. And spent many a year living life in the crazy fast lane. Only one who has lived it would understand. You pay the toll-man for it. As Vince has. But he's an absolute legend. And I will love the Crue forever.

The last line in the chorus has a delay tail on it, and it's a trick everyone from Axl, Bach, and other Rock singers use to make the vocals sound bigger. If Vince was lip-synching, he wouldn't be looking at the teleprompter every two seconds, and singing flat. Could the musicians or musically-inclined people here back me up, please? I wish people would stop talking sh*t about stuff they have no clue about.
I'll also add that when Nikki has one arm raised and you still hear the bass playing, you don't need to touch the fretboard to play open notes.

To be fair, as an audio engineer, what you are hearing is delay, its commonly used along with reverb on live vocals. Its not a track (who would make tracks that out of key anyway?).

Hopefully he gets it figured out for us fans. I don’t expect perfection but I do expect Vince to do what’s necessary to sound his best. Let’s see what happens.
