You forgot that little instrumental for It's Only Me that Steve played at the end there.
Curious...did you ask permission to upload this here?
It is time that Steven Page and BNL bury the hatchet and get the original band back together.
I wish they would!
Beyond time. Like The Heartbreakers without Tom Petty.
Bury the hatchet but not in each other's back....
If only!
The problem it's not up to Stepen Page he's always wanted to go back... he was kicked out of the band because of their Disney deal and his arrest... But now those guys realize that make a lot more money without one of the co-founders in the band to split it with, so they're not going to bring them back
This is such a gift from Page to his fans. You bloody legend.
He's easily the best songwriter in the band. Of that, there is no doubt.
Gordon/Stunt was my soundtrack to highlife in NYC at 25 years old in the mid ‘90’s. Happy memories. Page is still an amazing talent.❤
Such a talented guy.
holy shit hes amazing just alone wow this guy has so much talent. It really is amazing what a performance
Steven Page is so frigin cool
Huge BNL fan! Seen them perform separate and together . BNL is amazing and Steven is amazing but together, they are legendary! Time is running out boys....let's get back together again.
Oh my goodness, Gordon was so utterly impactful on my late teen/early adulthood, it felt as if they wrote the entire album to soundtrack my life. Likely sang the album a thousand times at every opportunity for years.
Thank you Steven.
Dear God, bring them back together.
Ah what a gem! That little DuranDuran bit is hot. My first intro to BNL, this album was my world in my early/mid 20s. This is such a gift and can we talk about how he’s only gotten better with age
You know...I know this episode is a bit dated but listening to you sing Lovers in a Dangerous time, i nostalgically had to go back to that original video...and you guys were so young...and all of Canada could relate to Ed's wool knit sweater...and your goatie...and the two groupies following you everywhere and the Scarborough neighborhood of the 1990s...so pure. So Canada. And then I thought about you guys breaking up and that kinda made me sad...but then I found your Juno's reunion in 2018 and watched at you and Ed's faces...I watched ..and watched to see some interaction. I had hoped you weren't bitter rivals just doing this to shut people up and I saw Ed come over to you and smile...and you guys started bum rubbing..and then I felt warm inside that things were mostly ok between you and that made me happy. I miss you guys.
Whenever I need a good cardio workout, I tend to play and sing The King of Bedside Manor. Gets my heart rate up and running, without actually running.
I am listening to this in May of '23 and I am transported to 30 years ago. Fall of '92 and watching the show at Club Icon in Buffalo was it? You can find that audio of that show here on CZcams. Laura and I wanted to see the show but Shawn and Marcy wanted to leave early cuz we drove them so we never saw the end of the show...
Cancer took Laura before she was 50. God, I miss her...welling up, thinking of the old days....
I LOVE early BNL and pretty much everything up until Steven left. I appreciate what they're doing without him, but it's not the same band. The reunion at the Junos was awesome. I hope you guys can all get together and play music again sometime.
What a voice still. The Flag is particularly impressive without any other arrangement.
It was amazing If we could erase hates and bad memories from our brains.
Barenaked Ladies changed my life when I was in middle school. in a good way
Mr. Steve/ Mr. Ed, let me be your unlicensed unqualified therapist, let me say this to you guys...we waited long enough.. you guys go out on a date, enjoy bowl of Poutine, maybe for dessert couple of Beavertails wash it down with a Pale lager or Budweiser shake hands..and..GET BACK TOGETHER! We been waiting a long time for a BNL album. Let's do this!! PS.. bill is in mail. 👍🙋♂️
"I never thought there'd be days like this, there was always someone at my door.
I never thought I would ever miss, the crowd would always holler for more.
But now it seems all the people want is what I used to be,
And every time I try to do something new, all they want is 1993.....
Yes please
Oh I have love and listened to you since 1993…. You are a true legend 🎉
I missed this when it was live, so glad I can catch up now. hello city let's go
Love you Steve.
If it ever happens, I look forward to Page's next reunion with BNL!
AMAZING performance, Steve. I was singing along to CZcams for the afternoon, just because I was loving the music so much... nobody around to whom I could show off how I can almost sing like you (says nobody but me). Gotta look up more of these performances. Thank you.
Saw BNL at a Tower Records performance a million years ago. Andy was still with the band for reference. I drove my eggshell ble 61 impala to the show and on the way there I see a cab next to me on the freeway. I look over and its the band and they're waving and shouting at me. They love the car! So, I eventually get to the record store and everyone sits down. First thing Steve (or was it Ed? That was a long time ago) says is, "We want to take a request from the guy in the awesome car. Awesome car, man!" I'm stunned. I blurt out "The Flag" and people in the room literally gasped. I felt bad because half the band didn't get to play but it was one of those moments that will always stick with me.
sweet steve....
Very entertaining! Steven is very funny! Had a blast listening to this. Miss the troupe!
So glad I found this where I was then and where I am now your music is good beach music 🌞😎
Just came across this. You've by far been my favourite vocalist ever. thank you for this.
Thank you so much for posting this.
Saw you at the Newton Theatre in NJ tonight and I absolutely loved it. Been wanting to see you live for 26 years and finally got to.Thank you!! And thank you for the genuine love that you pour into your music. It shines and fills the room. You make all the fans feel like their family and friends. Also the humor is epic. Great job! Can't wait to listen to my new vinyl! You sound exactly the same live, as you do playing on cd while dancing in my kitchen. 😉
I love wrap your arms around me. This version is so different to me because it’s normally a Ed song. But I love this version
I'm listening to this all day.
You can’t more raw than this!
BNL were as meaningful as
Santa Claud for Canadian kids back in the day! ❤️
How did I miss this??!!!
Saw BNL at Reg Lenna theater Jamestown NY many many years ago this is so awesome 😎
Dude......Wrap Your Arms was fugging sublime!!!
So good. Thanks for this!
"This is me in Grade 9"
Aw man, can't believe he dropped the most iconic rhyme from Box/Set (cleanser/friends are)
i trust this band with the keys to my house.....
My favorite is when you sing all the parts! No matter how many times you've played this, it always feels like the first time hearing it.
I wonder if he misses his old band, and misses singing these songs with them? I love the Gordon album. I’ve seen them in concert many times, both with and without Steven. I even met Steven & Kevin in NYC once! They were both so sweet and took pictures with me!
This is what the vocals of BNL songs are supposed to sound like, IMO. Thank you for doing this. Gordon, a classic album, gold from start to finish.
I was wondering how he was going to do 1,000,000 dollars by himself😂 .. pleasantly surprised.
There so many people that listened since the start. You owe it to every fan find peace and play a few dates as the BNL. The Hip is gone Rush lost the best drummer and that sound that Neil made You are Canadian, give the fans what they want.
Steve is fun he is so laid back!
30,000,000+ Canadians would just think the world was made right if Steven and BNL re-united...
ok it is now time for Maybe You Should Drive
I think his Maybe You Should Drive show is on his Patreon.
In love who’s voice
That voice! Such a strong vulnerability...
How does this have so few views? Also, does he still do zoom concerts or anything like that?
Agreed
❤
If only you'd been in a band where you could have played this with likeminded music-- oh, wait ...
Gotta do some Corky and the Juice Pigs. Pandas.
What I would do for that vinyl version of the yellow tape!
I found one online whoo hoo!
It feels a bit strange to suddenly hear Steve sing lead vocals on the songs that Ed originally did so on!
True, and it also feels strange to hear Ed sing lead vocals on songs Steve originally did so.
Can I play bass along with watching. I promise to pay more attention to you than the muddled sound l will most likely make.
Oh my
What a terrible way to get a yes from this dear man.
Funny Steve mentioned the mastering of Gordon after playing Grade 9. I think this is one best-mixed albums. Jim and Tyler don't get lost in the mix and there are so many vocal highlights. I also appreciate the fact that Ed and the boys will still play the 'Steve' songs, and Steve will sing the 'Ed' songs.
What's interesting is Steve will only sing 'Ed' songs during his home shows, while BNL will play 'Steve' songs during all their shows.
I find it pretty disrespectful personally. (Current) BNL doing Steve's songs just sound wrong and half the time they're making a mockery of it. It's not like there aren't plenty of Ed songs from their back catalog they can do.
He really carried the band I think. Haven't listened to the band in years since I was a kid really. I'm 30 now lmao
Yea, the cover makes me think of Pepsi, sorry. And I agree the extended version of "What a Good Boy" is so much better.
Its odd. You break up the band and they become invisible. Yet together they have unlimited power.
Uh, the band hit huge heights without Page, culminating with a theme song that generated and continues to generate massive dividends.
@@hammill444 Huge heights? 😅 I don't think the theme song for Big Bang Theory really measures up to the heights of Gordon and Stunt
@@bboooobbyy Uh, financially it does. You better believe it does.
