Glad a new generation figured out these pliers. I've got a pair of 45 year old ZIM 970 hose clamp pliers...still working great.
Right on! I had no idea they have been around that long. Thanks for watching.
You are my hero I'm a 62 year-old female I just bought these cuz my radiator needs a lot of work but I couldn't I ordered the exact same ones now I can't wait tomorrow to take off the hose and put some heat tape on the little crack in my radiator top part where the hoes connects I am so happy I bought these and I'm so happy for your chattel because you explained it so easy that I feel confident thank you so much
This is a great tool I'm glad they are working for you. Thanks for watching.
I gotta admit I typically use the "standard" plyers for hose clamps and such and yes usually end up cussing them out for said reasons so these are perfect for the price. I'm gonna order at least two to keep one in each box, good review Brandon.
Thanks JC. Let me know what you think of them!! I haven't found a flaw yet.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers Can you do a video on a good hose clamp cutter tool
@@GrinchTheGeneral Absolutely. A sharp razor blade works in a pinch.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers thanks man
@Extreme Daily Drivers I keep the "100" or whatever push and slide out pack from lowes in my cart top, I use those things faster than toothpicks lol. Also started carrying my old milwaukee flash "box cutter," with my 5" knipex in pocket and damned if I don't use them both 30x a day, those knives are usually 2 for 20 or so at lowes. Great for ( clamps that refuse service, happen to have cooler line slack) 🤣 😎
You're awesome! Thanks, just fucked myself up in a job because didn't have the proper tool, live and learn!
Best money you will spend.
Just bought this! Using today! Thanks for the video.
🤘
Very cool. I have the flexible hose clamp version of these, which are able to get into incredibly tight spots. I was able to get to all my radiator clamps from the top of the engine on a 2006 Matrix. The clamps on my Toyota have a lock open feature built into them to make them super easy to install, but it's tricky to get them to lock open and watch your fingers when you snap them closed.
I like my mishimoto set, I paid 39, but you can find them nowish (12/22) for less than 50$ and it's the full set w/ remote pliers
Edit: I'll add I work for Mack/Volvo so I use mine DAILY. Not worth the snap-on or Cornwell although I have borrowed a large bluepoint set when my size "had walked off" and I did like them.. I reckon smazon would work but Mishi warranty is on point
Thanks for the video. I've had a hose clamp pliers set for a while. Now I know how to use it.
You will love it. Thanks for watching.
Bought them to change the coolant overflow jug on my daughter's car. Worked great. Took the clamps off the old jug one at a time. Slid them on the new jug and released the pliers. Clamps locked right in place. $10.00 well spent.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad they are working for you. I wish I had bought a pair years ago. Thanks for watching.
Got one today. Like you said, they make loosening/moving hose clamps a whole lot easier.
Glad to hear it! I love mine! Thanks for watching.
Just got mine from Amazon today. Those are a life saver and makes the job so much easier. I bought the whole kit set with multiple different tools for oddly place hose clamp that is a nightmare to get access to. Great tools for hose removal. Before, it was a headache to remove those hose clamp and I just cuss the shit out of those car manufacture because those hose clamp are place in spot that is in a very tight spot to gain access to...to remove them. Well worth the investment.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Awesome man, I just bought these. I have to give them a try!
Sweet! You'll love em'. Thanks for watching.
I need this now. OMG thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video brother! Went and got one from Walmart asap
Your Walmart is a lot better than mine! You'll love it. Thanks for watching.
Great tool - tks for sharing
You're welcome!
Just bought the same looking pair from advanced auto parts yesterday and are great! Paid almost double of what you did but was worth it in the moment.
Amazon is always cheaper. Glad you like them!
Just ordered off the Amazon link. Thanks!
You will love them. Thanks for watching.
Awesome
Thanks
I vouch for that tool too - game changer.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
you can get the angled heads too for tight areas
So far these have been amazing. Thanks for watching.
Yes and yes it will work beautifully and quickly only and only if you have a space to clamp that thing. Wish is adjustable right or left angle. Still a good tool. Thanks for the video 👍🙂
Glad you like them!
Ive been a mechanic for 30 years and i have never owned a pair of these but I'm gonna buy me some, god i hate these clamps with a passion, i normally wrangle them with some vise grips but thats not the proper tool either, gotta have the right tool for the right job.
You will love them. Thanks for watching!
Great Tool buying one for Sure My Long Needle nose pliers were not working so great on my Mitsubishi Trans Cooler Hoses man it was a Hassle i had to Lube up those hose clamps with a little wd40
That's a good tip. Thanks for watching.
nice to know the pliers lock in place, now I bought a pair
They are awesome. You'll love em.
Flex hose clamp tool sends us straight to "clamp hell"! it spun the clamp nipples under the low hose and took 4 hours of needle nose plier work to remove :( , this tool looks amazing , Ty
I almost bought that one, but read similar reviews to your experience. Thanks for watching.
FYI: you'll need those plyers when your Commander's plastic heater core hose "T" valves crack and leak. Ask me how I know. LOL!
🤣😂 That's on my list of things to do!! I'm just going to delete the rear hose and get rid of those T's altogether. Thanks for watching.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers I ended up bypassing the hoses to the core... I live in FLA too... don't need heat. Besides, I have heated seats! LOL
@@jkmarshall3553 So do I!! 🤣😂
Thank you.
You're welcome!
$10.99 now. Ordered + Subbed!
Never under estimate the power of an XDD video! The seller on Amazon is probably like "It's a Christmas miracle!!" Lol. Thanks for watching and sub'ing!!
Thank you
You're welcome
When using this tool to compress spring clamps make sure you wear safety glasses, i had a brand spring clamp brake off while under compression from this type of tool.
Good tip! Thanks for watching!
GRACIAS, GRACIAS , GRACIAS
DE NADA!!
I feel your pain. And it's like the factory put'em in the most awkward spot they could think of 😆😆. I replace mine with screw clamps when they're in a spot that I can easily get a screw driver or socket with an extension into, but not enough room for your hand and pliers.
But i'mma have to get one of those tools if just for the removal of the original clamp. Because sometimes you can get to the darn clamp but you don't have enough room to squeeze your pliers down really good and move them enough to work the clamp loose.
Get the pliers. You can thank me later.
Say no more 🤣🤣🤣
Those are great but a standard pair of vice grips works nearly as well and they also lock just adjust them to where they are about half the width of the tab spacing on the clamp.
I wouldn't say they work just as well. Sure they will work, but not for all clamps. Vice grips are usually pretty bulky. Thanks for watching.
I’ve had pretty decent luck at using vice grips, my only complaint with them is they like to slip off the clamp.
Good luck getting even long nose vice grips in some places
Using 45 degree long reach needle nose had me cursing Dodge engineers
Also...subbed, you rock
I appreciate it! More of these types of videos coming. Thanks for watching!
I ordered these based this recommendation. Cup tip fell off upon opening the package because the retaining clip was missing. Handles' pivot point was too stiff for one-hand use. They felt and functioned like an inferior tool. I sent it back immediately and spent more for a far better tool.
Sounds like you got a bad one. That sucks. Thanks for watching.
Just bought a pair. Right now, as I type this, they are on at 50% off! so $5!
Damn!!
My Mazda has some clamps where the wide side is not connected, its just two pins. It's like you need a channel locks with 3/4 inch jaws. Any tips on removing such a clamp?
I think this will work. I have not found a clip this won't work with. Thanks for watching.
Clean
Thanks!
Do those pliers work at different angle, because my radiator hose doesn't have the clearance to have those pliers at a direct 90 degrees from the hose
Yes. Thanks for watching.
You got me again 🤣
You won't regret it!! Thanks for watching!
What about the giant air intake size on turbos?
It will work.
i will tray thanks
Hope you enjoy!
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers Oh my god!!!! Ton of Thank you. I had to replace a radiator fan assembly on my car, was so easy with this tool, I bought at amazon with your link. god bless you 🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏
Harbor freight bit needle noses work phenomenally and the whole set is like $10 lol
Yeah, but you still have the same issues as any needle nose pliers. These are better. Trust me.
I normally use my knipex raptor
Interesting...
Those clamps have a catch on them to hold them open.
No they don't.
there is another version with cable .....what's the difference?
This one is cheaper and better. Get it!
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers alright buddy

Unreal
Agreed
I have zero problem compressing them the problem is getting them to slide on new hose.
Buy these and never struggle again. Best $8 you will ever spend. Thanks for watching.

It will work for any car, as seen in the video. Thanks for watching.
Some dummy put the clamps upside down so i can even get to the waterpump housing hoses
This should help. Thanks for watching.
This doesn't work for Ford hose spring clamps where both ends are flat.
Good to know. One more reason to never own a Ford. Lol
For $10? I’ll give ‘‘em a shot
You won't be disappointed. Just read the comments. Thanks for watching.
That works fine until troll automakers install the clamps on the under side of the hose.
Lots of times you have to rotate it and other tools work well for that, but when it comes to squeezing and removing the clamp, nothing works better.
