I gotta admit I typically use the "standard" plyers for hose clamps and such and yes usually end up cussing them out for said reasons so these are perfect for the price. I'm gonna order at least two to keep one in each box, good review Brandon.

@Extreme Daily Drivers I keep the "100" or whatever push and slide out pack from lowes in my cart top, I use those things faster than toothpicks lol. Also started carrying my old milwaukee flash "box cutter," with my 5" knipex in pocket and damned if I don't use them both 30x a day, those knives are usually 2 for 20 or so at lowes. Great for ( clamps that refuse service, happen to have cooler line slack) 🤣 😎

Very cool. I have the flexible hose clamp version of these, which are able to get into incredibly tight spots. I was able to get to all my radiator clamps from the top of the engine on a 2006 Matrix. The clamps on my Toyota have a lock open feature built into them to make them super easy to install, but it's tricky to get them to lock open and watch your fingers when you snap them closed.

I like my mishimoto set, I paid 39, but you can find them nowish (12/22) for less than 50$ and it's the full set w/ remote pliers
Edit: I'll add I work for Mack/Volvo so I use mine DAILY. Not worth the snap-on or Cornwell although I have borrowed a large bluepoint set when my size "had walked off" and I did like them.. I reckon smazon would work but Mishi warranty is on point

I bought the whole kit set with multiple different tools for oddly place hose clamp that is a nightmare to get access to. Great tools for hose removal. Before, it was a headache to remove those hose clamp and I just cuss the shit out of those car manufacture because those hose clamp are place in spot that is in a very tight spot to gain access to...to remove them. Well worth the investment.

I feel your pain. And it's like the factory put'em in the most awkward spot they could think of 😆😆. I replace mine with screw clamps when they're in a spot that I can easily get a screw driver or socket with an extension into, but not enough room for your hand and pliers.
But i'mma have to get one of those tools if just for the removal of the original clamp. Because sometimes you can get to the darn clamp but you don't have enough room to squeeze your pliers down really good and move them enough to work the clamp loose.

  • @johnnorris1227

    • @ExtremeDailyDrivers
